A poll about Bra's

For the past month I lived with another girl my age for the first time. After working through all the basic commen differences in our styles of living one of the things I’ve noticed was the way we differed in our ………uh support systems. I guess in my blindness I never really thought about how different women were in their ways of supporting their bazooms.

So how about you ladies?

Do you wear a bra?
Size?
Why or why not?
Wear a bra to bed?
Casually around the house?
Favorite style?

and not really related but:

are your breats proportional to the rest of your body?

To sleep? Hell, no!

wear a bra? Yep, size anywhere from 36A-38B, more of 38B though. I’m not real big, but I do bounce too much when I’m not wearing a bra. Wear a bra to bed? Absolutely not, but I do wear a bra casually around the house. On lovely lazy summer days though when I don’t bother getting out of my pajamas, I don’t always put a bra on, but sometimes I do.

My favorite style is comfortable, cotton, and I’m quite fond of gray. No frills, no lace (itchy!). I’ll never wear underwires, and I’m small enough to not have to. It’s annoying shopping for bras though cause even sizes A and B come with underwires sometimes, and it strikes me as awfully ridiculous. Why put up with underwires when you don’t have to? And I’ll often wear a sports bra instead of a regular bra if I’ve got my period and am swollen.

And yes, I’d say my breats are proportional

Do you wear a bra? I used to, but I stopped when I noticed it really didn’t make much of a difference in my appearance. I do occasionally wear a corset.
Size? 40DD
Why or why not? They’re radically uncomfortable! Breasts should be supported from underneath, as in a corset, not from above, as in a bra. Also, as I said, my breasts are firm enough so that a bra doesn’t make much of a difference in my appearance. So I bounce a little, so what?
Wear a bra to bed? Never, ever, ever!
Casually around the house? Never, ever, ever!
Favorite style? When I wore one, seamless and definitely without underwires. Why is it that the boning in a corset is more comfortable than the underwires in a bra?
**are your breats proportional to the rest of your body? ** Yup. I have that “perfect hourglass figure” that went out of fashion in the mid-50s. Well, at least I’m not pear-shaped!

Do you wear a bra?
= Yes
Size?
=44ddd
Why or why not?
=Support!
Wear a bra to bed?
=No!!! Take that sucker off when I wlk thru the door!
Casually around the house?
=Nope
Favorite style?
=Well there is not much of a choice in my size, but I do need an underwire!
Are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body
= NO. I am 5ft and yes they are real. Altho now that I am ahem 35, my hips have filled out so I am more of the hourglass shape.

Do you wear a bra? most of the time

**Size?**38D

Why or why not? because the girls look better in one.

Wear a bra to bed? hell, no. Take it off as soon as possible

Casually around the house? Not usually. I mean…it’s just me, why should I wear one until I leave the house. Sometimes I don’t put one on to go out either.

Favorite style? Victoria’s Secret, the satin ones…can’t remember the exact name.

**are your breats proportional to the rest of your body? ** Yeah, I think so.

Do you wear a bra? When I’m going out for more than just a quick jaunt to Circle K, or to drop kids off at school.

Size? 34-36B, depends on the brand.

Why or why not? Why? Well, when I do, it’s for support, as far as appearance is concerned. I don’t think they look bad, but they’re a little more teardrop shaped since having kids, so a little guidance is nice. Also, I have, um, err…PENS(Copyright somebody at the ULMB), which is Permanent Erect Nipple Syndrome, and above, and beyond that, I have exceptionally large nipples compared to your average woman(oh the comments I’ve received!) so, I kind of like to be able to go out, and say something to, or even just stand next to, a male, and not have him think that I’m happy to see him, or extremely cold.

Wear a bra to bed? The only time I have ever worn a bra to bed was during the post-partum period of my three deliveries. I breastfed my oldest for a month before I had to quit, and it helps with engorgement, as well as holds breast pads in place for the leakies. With my younger two, I wasn’t able to breastfeed, so I was instructed to wear one, tightly, all the time, to suppress lactation. You also do a fair amount of leaking during that, as well, so… BUUUUUUT, lactation issues aside - nope, never, not on your life!

Casually around the house? If I’ve already been out, and was wearing one, I won’t automatically take it off when I get home, unless I change clothes. If I’ve just done one of the quick jaunts listed above, or am staying home for the day - no way!

Favorite style? Simple, plain, cotton. No padding, but definitely lined - see PENS above. At some point I ended up finding an underwire bra that I liked, and I’ve worn 'em ever since. I’m picky when I shop, so I haven’t had many problems with discomfort, and frankly, I feel odd without the wire. I did wear wireless bras when I was pregnant, however.

are your breats proportional to the rest of your body? Yeah, I’d say they are. I am petite, so they look quite natural, although they’d still look fine, and proportional if they were a little bit bigger, they’d probably still look proportional if they were a little bit smaller(though I don’t want to find out, the small loss of gravity I’ve already encountered is enough, really), I think I’m probably just about right for my measurements.

There ya go, all you ever wanted to know, and most likely much more, about V’s boobies!

~V

-Yes.

-34D.

-Because otherwise they hurt.

-Not on your life

-Sometimes. Depends on what I’m going to be doing.

-The ones that are all too small for me :frowning:

-I suppose so . . . I haven’t had any complaints yet.

Yes

36DD

Because they can hurt if I run (even sometimes with a bra if it isn’t a sports bra) and because I bounce all over the place. The other day I was even wearing one and some guy commented on my bouncing.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (at least, not since I got over the newness of having a bra when I was 13 or so)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Have to have underwires, usually get Victoria’s Secret, which actually has a couple color options. Sports bra (no underwires, just really damn tight) to work out.

Yes, they’re proportional…I’m not hourglass exactly, but they don’t look weird sticking out all like that.

Do you wear a bra? Yes.
Size? 36 or 38C
Why or why not? Habit, social conformity, highbeams, comfort
Wear a bra to bed? No. nonono.
Casually around the house? I’m out of my clothes the second I get through the door.
Favorite style? Underwire - I like the support. The bras I have now are lacey and colorful, but I’ve had the plain white style in the past that were fine until the line was discontinued. Anything that doesn’t make me look like I have a uniboob is good.
are your breats proportional to the rest of your body? **I guess. **

Do you wear a bra? Yes

Size? 38B or C, depending on the style

Why or why not? I want to keep them above my knees for as long as possible.

Wear a bra to bed? Just before my period, my breasts get very, very tender, so I will occasionally wear a bra to bed during those times, since rolling over causes pain simply from them shifting.

Casually around the house? I always put on a bra before leaving the house, but if I haven’t been out, I’m frequently braless except during times as mentioned above. If I’ve been out, I’ll usually leave it on until it gets uncomfortable, then take it off.

Favorite style? I almost always wear underwires, for the support.

are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body? Yes, very nicely so, according to my fiance.

allright here’s my great info:

Do you wear a bra? Yes.

Size? 34C- 34B (depends on brand)

Why or why not? comfort, support, avoing the stretch makrs later in life that I’ll get from boucy non-supported boobies

Wear a bra to bed? Nope (girl I live with does though :O)

Casually around the house? If I havn’t gotten dressed that day yet, no. But usually, yes. I’ll subsitite shirts with built in shelf bra’s though.

Favorite style? Demi cup, not lacy, usually underwire. Like the way they fit and comftability.

are your breats proportional to the rest of your body? Not really, I’m petite, 5’2 110 lbs. And then I have these, most other girls my size have quite a bit smaller boobies. But I’m not pear shaped, more hourglassey, so not drastically unproportional either.

Do you wear a bra? ** Indeed **
Size? ** 38C or Medium Sized Male Hands **
Why or why not? ** Im A Follower **
Wear a bra to bed? ** Not Usually **
Casually around the house? ** Unless I Know Im Going Somewhere Later, or Expecting Company… No **
Favorite style? ** VS Made a sheer Angel Bra a few years ago… It came in sparkly pantyhose type material, in a lot of great colours… I bought a nice backstock to do me for the next few years. Or VS Cotton. Absolutely NO PADDING please. I enjoy the smooth, thin, stretchy type… less bulk, more room to breath. And with a strong comfy underwire.**

and not really related but:

are your breats proportional to the rest of your body?
** I think so. But they’d look a lot damn bigger if i could flatten my tummy more. On that note, i have a neighbor who’s Boozies sit about 3" under her collar bone. Something about that is unnatural and I refuse to believe that she’s not stuffing them. Only real Boobs can pull a bra down to center stage where it belongs  **

Do you wear a bra?
Lives would be lost if I didn’t.

Size?
48DDD (I think)

Wear a bra to bed?
Sometimes. When I was pregnant I had to because I was so swollen (I’d wear a really comfy sleeping bra) so now I can go either way. I prefer to because if I don’t they’re kind of all over the place, they roam while I sleep.

Casually around the house?
Yes, but usually it’s one of my loose bras. I save the industrial strength ones (with the bells, whistles and pulley system) for when I’m out in public.

Favorite style?
I usually end up buying boring white and beige ones because, around here anyway, lingerie shops tend to assume that if you’re over a C cup, you’re not having sex so you therefore have no need for a pretty lacy bra. I hate, hate, HATE underwires, I will NEVER buy one again. After about a month the wire starts to poke underneath my arm and so I have to yank it out and thus the bra is ruined.

Are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body?
Yes.

Bra? Yes. 36B

Why? Shape, and workplace conformity.

To bed? Hell no.

Casually around the house? Only until I remember to take the sucker off.

Favorite style? I had some nice lace Ralph Lauren ones, but since moving to New Mexico, I rarely wear sweaters, so I eschew the lace in favor of something smoother.

Proportional? I’m 5’9", so I think I’d look better as a C, but it doesn’t keep me up at night.

**Do you wear a bra? **To work, sometimes when going to parties, rarely for shopping unless I’m shopping for clothes. Almost never around the house or when doing housework.
**Size? **38B.
**Why or why not? **Mainly dress code comformity, although I do like the shaping that some of my bras give me.
**Wear a bra to bed? **Not since I moved past 38AAA.
**Casually around the house? **No.
**Favorite style? **I have some really nice underwires that are actually very comfortable for the entire day. Except when the underwire discovers a zit and then proceeds to rub against it all day long.
**are your breats proportional to the rest of your body?**I guess so. I mean, I’m not at risk for falling over on stairwells or anything like that.

Bwa ha ha ha ha!

Do you wear a bra? Yes.

**Size? ** 38D.

Why or why not? 'Cause bouncing hurts, dammit!

**Wear a bra to bed? ** Not anymore.

Casually around the house? Yes, unless I’m in my PJs.

are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body? Yes, or maybe slightly larger.
**Favorite style? ** Classic. Only a teeny bit of padding. Black or blue. Marginally thicker than usual straps.

Do you wear a bra? Yep
Size? 46DD
Why or why not? Bouncing is painful !
Wear a bra to bed? Not a chance
Casually around the house? Yes
favorite style? The kind that hooks in the back

**are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body? ** Yes, it fits very well.

Do you wear a bra? yes
Size? 34B
Why or why not? support, so my nipples won’t show
Wear a bra to bed? no
Casually around the house? yes
Favorite style? a little bit of padding, black or white
Are your breats proportional to the rest of your body? I think so
