A poll about Bra's

Do you wear a bra? yes
Size? 36B
Why or why not? Because I like to run everywhere.
Wear a bra to bed? of course not. that’s sick.
Casually around the house? Yes
Favorite style? I never realized how weird it is that I like underwires. I think they’re comfortable. They’re the only kind of bra I own.

I should probably mention that I have a lucky bra.

Shut up, it is SO a lucky bra! I had it on when I got admitted to UWM, and when I capsized in the canoe and didn’t lose any gear, and when I went on the week-long canoe trip where it was sunny skies and 70 degrees every single day.

are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body? I think they are.

Do you wear a bra?

Yes, most of the time.

Size?

40D, or sometimes 40DD, depending on the style

Why or why not?
I don’t like the way my boobs look or feel when they’re hanging, which they seem to do lower and lower these days.
:frowning:

Wear a bra to bed?
Usually no, just because it’s more comfortable to be free. But if the twins are tender (PMS or whatever) the support helps.

Casually around the house?

I usually walk around my house in nothing but underwear, which includes a bra, in the summer. In the winter, I’ll swing free under a big T-shirt or nightgown.

Favorite style?

I’m not too picky about looks. I just wanna be comfortable. But front-closure is nice, as is the racer-back, which gives more freedom for arm movement. Cotton is better than synthetics. No padding (does a 40D need it?)

and not really related but:

are your breats proportional to the rest of your body?

They are big, but I have a hips and an ass to match, with a relatively small waist in between. It all looks pretty good to me. I have seen some women, like Dolly Parton, with a flat butt, slim and really big breasts, who look like the letter “P” from the side. My sister is build this way. Just looks like they’re gonna tip over.

Do you wear a bra? yes
Size? barely an A
Why or why not? padded bras look better than none at all
Wear a bra to bed? what for?
Casually around the house? most of the time
favorite style? black, and I prefer satin over lacey ones

are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body? not at all - in fact I’m getting a breast augmentation on Tuesday

Do you wear a bra? Yes
Size? 36-38 D
Why or why not? Support
Wear a bra to bed? Yes…this started since I moved to a residence hall last year. Fire alarms in the middle of the night, guaranteeing at least half an hour outside. I don’t want strangers to look at me without a bra. It’s just an old sports bra, although when I arrive tire to the house, I just sleep with the one I was wearing outside…
Casually around the house? Yes, for the same reason as above…and yes, a sports bra, unless I was out, in which case I just stay with the other one.
Favorite style? I’m practical. An underwire, beige, white or black in color, and none of those fancy laces and decorations.

are your breats proportional to the rest of your body? I got hips, so in that sense it is proportional…but I think unless I lose some pounds, the breasts are a tad too big.

Do you wear a bra? Yes

**Size? ** 40C Full

Why or why not? I wear a bra to support my breasts, reduce the sagging that will come with age and to put them back where they were before the kids were born

Casually around the house? yes

are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body? yes

**Favorite style? ** underwire, satin, non-elastic straps. Wonderbra makes a good bra, so does Bali. I worked for Platex & Bali fitting bras and most women wear the wrong size and use the same bras for all occasions. You wouldn’t wear the same shoes to work out, go to a party, to your job and/or to hang around the house, would you? But a lot of women wear the same bra for everything. Bras only last 6 or 8 months with continuous wear, less if you throw them in the dryer. Women who want a good-fitting, good-looking bra should get fitted and then buy several in different styles and tell your fitter what you want this bra for—all day support or to be quickly removed and tossed on the floor!

 You know, sometimes when I’m looking at sexy underwear in a catalog or on the 'net, my boyfriend will look over my shoulder and say, “Why bother? It’s just going to end up on the floor anyway.”

Good luck on your surgery, ladydisco!

Am I the only one who finds bras uncomfortable?!

Do you wear a bra?

  • Yes
    Size?
  • 38G
    Why or why not?
  • considering their size and the fact that they’ve fed two children, they could use the support.
    Wear a bra to bed?
  • Yes
    Casually around the house?
  • Yes. I’m rarely without a bra, I find it uncomfortable not to wear one.
    Favorite style?
  • Not a lot of choice in my size, I’ll take anything that actually fits. Back when I was a relatively small 36DD, it was pretty underwires from VS
Are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body?
  • not really. I’ve always worn shirts 2-4 sizes bigger than my pants.

Do you wear a bra?

  • No. Never.

Size?
-34B

Why not?
-Bras seem like a needless discomfort to me. I’m not big enough to bounce around a lot and my breasts are pretty nicely shaped as-is. Sure, my nipples poke out a bit, but I don’t really care. I’m not barbie. I have nipples. I’m not gonna walk around in a hot, uncomfy, expensive garment just so I can pretend that I don’t have nipples.

Are you Breasts Proportional to your body?
-yeah, I’d say they are just right.

Am I the only person in the entire world who cannot understand the physics of an underwire bra?? How in the hell can two little C-shaped pieces of metal that fit UNDER your breasts, nearly flat against your chest, support ANYTHING? Don’t you just flop right over them? I mean, I could understand if they were undershelves. But the concept of an underwire bra eludes me completely.

Do you wear a bra? If I’m out of the house, yes
Size? 34B on the left, 34C on the right
Why or why not? Because of the aforementioned lopsidedness, and gravity.
Wear a bra to bed? Only when I fall asleep at the computer.
Casually around the house? it’s a race when I walk in the door - which hits the floor first, shoes or bra?
Favorite style? Plain ol’ ordinary cotton with some life on the sides, because I point outward and down without.

and not really related but:

are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body? They’re not even proportional to one another, but either size I have would work for my body.

That would be “lift” on the sides, not life.

Well, that’s why the straps are there. And the part that reaches around the rib cage. The wires aren’t support to lift anything, they’re supposed to curve against the front of your rib cage and outline the shape of the cup. YMMV.

I still don’t get it. If you’re relying on the straps and the band for support, what the hell do you need the wires for?

Do you wear a bra?: Yes, almost all the time.
Size?: 32 DD
Why or why not?: Because my breasts are far too big for my small frame. I’m very uncomfortable without a bra.
Wear a bra to bed?: Sometimes, yes.
Casually around the house?: Yep.
Favorite style?: Underwired, seamless, simple colours and no fancy lace or appliqués. I prefer thinner straps but sometimes the thicker ones are more practical.
Are your breasts proportional to the rest of your body?: Not at all. I’m short, have tiny shoulders and arms, and very narrow hips. It makes clothes shopping very difficult. I understand that my breasts wouldn’t look so gigantic on other people, but I’m constantly getting whistled at and gawped at for them. It’s difficult to get a man to focus anywhere other than my chest. :o I’m still considering breast reduction surgery, but I’m poor, under the advised minimum age, and slightly afraid of the prospect of going under the knife. I hear they move your nipples on stalks, or something ghastly like that. Sorry!

Yes; 32B; habbit; no; no; simple cotton, I come from a line of females with "broad hips and shoulders, but no butts and boulders.

Do you wear a bra? Yes

Size? 42F or G depending on the manufacturer

Why or why not? Too big to go without.

Wear a bra to bed? Only when I was nursing so I could avoid waking up in a milky puddle.

Casually around the house? Only in summer–the sweaty skin on sweaty skin thing is uncomfortable.

Favorite style? Aviana makes good, supportive (if somewhat expensive) bras. I try to avoid the 5 hooks because you have to be a contortionist to get into the damned things!

are your breats proportional to the rest of your body? Well, I’m a big girl, so yes, they’re proportional to the rest of me–I’ve got the hourglass thing going on. My left breast is slightly larger than my right–which I’ve been told is normal but it really annoying!

How you doin’?

I love petite women, especially with your boob size. Any chance you’re available?

Lotsa things, really.

It looks better - you avoid the uniboob thing. I have yet to find a non-underwire bra that sat on my chest between by breasts, rather than hanging out mid-air.

And it just gives the bra some shape. metal doesn’t stretch, and so everything just stays where it belongs much, much more easily.

Do you wear a bra?

Yes.

Size?

36 B/C (mostly B)

Why or why not?

Comfort. Looks better. Also, I wear very thin shirts, and visible nipples have no place in polite society.

Wear a bra to bed?

NO! I accidently did that once and my ribs were killing me the next day!

Casually around the house?

Sometimes.

Favorite style?

I don’t care as long as it’s not itchy. Verry simple. No lace. Don’t mind underwire though…

Are your breats proportional to the rest of your body?

Well, my entire upper body is about a size smaller than my lower body, so I think not.

Do you wear a bra? You betcha.
Size? 34-36 DD
Why or why not? Highbeams and the bounce factor.
Wear a bra to bed? GOD no
Casually around the house? Not if I can help it.
Favorite style? Warner’s seems to fit the best for the cheapest price.

Are your breats proportional to the rest of your body? Pretty well. I have a bit of an odd body. I have a big butt and big boobs, but normal legs, arms, and middle. If I wasn’t endowed on top, my butt would look ridiculous.

just calling by to say that i went bra shopping today, so the topic is on my mind.

i’m a 30E

and big boobies like mine, although nice and perky, need a support system to stop all that unwanted attention!

can’t wear the damn things in bed because it hurts.

i tend to wear my dressing gown or birthday suit around the house, so no, i don’t wear bras if i don’t have to.

my favourite styles are plain and elegant balconette type thingies, i bought a nice black satin Gossard superboost today though…

are they proportional?

HELLO? do 30E breasts SOUND proportional? hell, they don’t even sound natural!

i’m 5’ tall, with skinny arms and legs, US size 3 feet and a 24 inch waist…

thank god i have hips!
