A Pre-Hijacked MMP

Morning all, up and caffeinating. I will confirm that it is colder than a … well, it’s just plain cold outside. LOL You can have this Canadian temperature back, thankyouverymuch! I think we got 4-6 inches. And yes, we’ll have to soldier thru the snow which will still be around, because it’s -too cold for it to melt-!! Bah!

In other news, the ribs and pork loin that I put into a low, slow oven turned out fantastic (I will definitely do that again, but next time with heavy duty foil …). I just rubbed em with salt/pepper and brown sugar, then wrapped em up in foil and put em in a 250 degree oven for about 6 hours. And my crock pot Boston baked beans turned out delicious again also. There’s enough leftovers for a couple more meals too, woo hoo!

No plans today other than to slug-a-bed, read the paper and read my books. Ah, I have started a new crochet project - another afghan. It’s so relaxing, most of the time that is. LOL

Hope everyone enjoys and relaxes today. Happy Sunday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all!

I read but didn’t retain much.

dotty good luck with the travels and medical stuff!

BioRosie I was lookin’ forward to the youtube video of you dancin’ the hoochie-goochie on a bar!

I need to get myself purtified for churchification. I have not been up long. My caffienation consisted of Diet Coke this mornin’ cause I didn’t want to make coffee.

Last night was fun, btw. Good food, good friends, just enough adult beverages to make it more fun without the hangover and lots of laughs.

Ok, off to purtify.

Later Y’all!

Wheee! Darn it, I always forget what I want to write before I type it, so here goes:

Yay to Rosie for the date turning out okay - smoky fire notwithstanding (gah, one of the things I definitely do not miss about smoking!). Good, healing thoughts winging Dotty’s way - to Australia! Glad you had a good time last night, Swampy - at least you’re headed for churchification this morning. FCM, hope things are nice and toasty down your way - it’s way cold here too!!!

Okay, I know that’s not all, but hope that it partially makes up for my earlier, pitiable showing.

Hope your trip is/was safe and smooth, Dotty and that the medical stuff goes well.

Friend is good, rosie. Hope it can be something romantic too.

It’s been cold here too. It’s 11 Murrkin/-12 Furrin right now. At least we’ve been spared the snow. For now.

Up - need to get purtified then it’s off to church.

Any volunteers for tomorrow, by the way…?

GT

I’m glad the date turned out well, rosie.

For all of you dealing with the snow, hope it melts quickly and life returns to normal.

We had a good time at our friends’ place last night. Unfortunately, I must not have been completely over whatever bug is attacking me, because I started feeling sick again. I mean really, WTF? This is getting old.

We have a version of expanded cable. No premium channels for us, for just the reasons you mention FCM.

I dunno, if the kids weren’t here, I might just dump the cable altogether. But, my son watches TV, and frankly so do I.

Caffienation is in progress. My tummy is still somewhat shaky, but I’ll survive.

Whew - well that was fun. Two hours of shoveling. The driveway is cleared to the street and around the mailbox. **FCD **and I were at it for about an hour before I got pissed and woke up the kids. They just now finished digging out the van and their car.

It’s sunny and the driveway is melting, but it’ll turn to ice overnight. Tomorrow’s commute should be interesting. If it wasn’t for my project from hell, I’d just take the day off. Oh well.

We’ll go out in a little while and get some real food. I just slapped some PB on bread to tide me over. Near as I can tell, the snow stopped around midnight, so most parking lots are probably cleared. The only issue is whether employees can get to work to serve us…

Have I mentioned that I hate snow? If you read my LJ, you know that already.

I just want to thank all you mid-Atlantic states for taking the snow so my date could go on.

12F? That is cold. Even for me! Not unusually so, but definitely so.

Staying home and puttering today. My kitteh needs some attention. She doesn’t like when I go to work.

Fairly lazy day today done some laundry and I have some chilli simmering on the stove for dinner.

Other than that I am re-watching Bones DVD’s after I finished up season 4 of Grey’s Anatomy this afternoon.

Other than that I got nuttin!

Home from churchification. Lunch was two junior cheeseburgers from BK and some chips. Hadn’t had a BK burger in a while so it was good.

Any of you FBers who need to get oogyed (oogied?), go check out my photo album. One of the pitchers is my senior high school yearbook pitcher. You may want to make sure you have the brain bleach handy. You have been forewarned. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s gray, dreary and cool here. Nice nappy poo weather, thus I think I shall go and partake.

Later Y’all!

I’m heating lasagna for lunch. Will have an orange for dessert, I think.

Just responded to several FB friend requests.

Have put away all my sheets and towels and have gone through my memento box. Came across a bunch of really cool stuff. Jewelry from when I was a little girl, my Dad’s wedding band, Girl Scout memorabilia.

Back to getting stuff done…

GT

We went out for a late lunch - Famous Dave’s. It was OK. The roads were mostly dry, so getting to work tomorrow should be no biggie.

Daughter and I readied my studio for my new toy. C’mon Tuesday!

I still need to dig out more area for the doggies to pee and poo. I figure every time I take them out, I’ll fling a few more shovels full so they’ll gradually get more yard to soil. On the good side, it keeps all the poo close and easy to scoop.

I think I need to knit some more. So I shall…

Snow: it keeps all the poo close and easy to scoop. What a marketing concept!

I’ve had a nappy poo and some chawklit cake with a glass of milk. Life is good today. It’s still cold and dreary out.

Dipsey spent the night with us last night. His mom is never home, and they usually leave the gate to the front door ajar, or the garage door slightly open, but they didn’t last night or today. He can’t even ask to get in! It’s in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s here. No way was I going to leave him out all night. I’m really not sure of their living arrangements over there. If they cared about the dog, they wouldn’t leave him to roam the neighborhood all day and all night. She knows he visits us all the time, so it seems to me she should come check on her dog. We’ve been watching for her car.

I think we might have another dog. <sigh> (He likes to sleep under the covers. ;))

Rebo looks like Dipsey done adopted him some new parents. Smart dog!

In case anyone is curious, there is such a thing as too much chocolate. After consuming a total of nine truffles over the course of three hours (not to mention a very delicious, but also very very rich brunch beforehand), I’ve spent the better part of the afternoon trying not to hurl. :smack:

On the bright side, I’m just about ready to write my first article. Yay!

The Supper Fairy (aka the neighbourhood crappy Chinese place) is taking care of dinner. I can’t stomach the idea of cooking anything at the moment.

Sending lots of warm vibes to the snowed-in Mumpers!

Muppet are you gonna write about how the truffles made you want to hurl?

Supper tonight has consisted of grazing. So far, chawklit cake, peanut butter crackers, a hunk of pepper jack cheese and an apple. There’s a balanced diet in there somewhere.

My supper? A croissant with ham and cheese; some veggies in peanut sauce (leftovers from yesterday’s noodles), and a beerverage. Still haven’t had that orange, so I guess I should head back to the kitchen to take care of that.

Memento inventory (including picture-taking) is done. Woot.

I think it’s time to just relax and knit.

GT

gt don’t forget that orange! It’s an important source of, well, sump’n to make your dindin a well balanced meal. I’m just sure of it!

Since there’s enough left on the gift card from the good Eyetalian place for one more meal, we’re goin’ tomorrow night. After all, it’d be a shame to let the rest of that gift card go to waste, right? Now I have to agonize over which dish I haven’t tried yet to order. Once again, why must my life be so hard!

Doppelganger week on Facebook, and I have no clue what celeb I resemble. Anyone know where I can find a picture of Secretariat’s butt? That’s probably a safe assumption.
