What do boys want from a relationship?
As opposed to what young women want? It depends. Steady sex is the easy answer, but not the full one. Some want the status of what their SO seems to represent. Some want to be treated with a continuation of how their moms treated them, or should have treated them. Some want somebody to treat like shit, just to see what it feels like one time, or because that is how they’re hard-wired to treat someone. Some want to be treated like shit. A few have the right idea that your’re together to take care of each other.
All that sounds like what young women want too. I guess the only difference is that women don’t make a drug out of their orgasms as much a young men seem to. I look forward to reading other people’s relpies.

The OP may not really have an answer because very often young people just do not know what it is they want. (This is often true of older people but especially true of younger people). People get into relationships and mess up because they really do not have a clear idea of what it is they want and what it is they are willling to give. By the time they start learning they have messed up a few times. Such is life. You learn from your mistakes.
For the geekier guys, most of the preliminary interaction is just attempting to get a basic understanding of women. Most learn quickly that this is either pointless or impossible, due to the variety. Further interaction generally is an attempt to “understand” one particular female. The brighter guys learn that this, too, is impossible and or pointless, and that it is far better to just learn to identify the characteristics you like, and the ones you don’t like, so as to allow a concentration of effort, rather than an global effort.
Summing up, geekier guys will be interested in learning about you and your interests, much like you seem to be looking for info about guys and their interests. As I see it, your best bet is to meet guys and talk with them about what they are interested in, while explaining what you are interested in. This can help you seperate the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.
Also, if you want the guys to talk, don’t wear low cut blouses. For some reason, many of us seem to be obsessed with tits, and we have trouble staring and talking at the same time.
If you want to know how the guys will treat you, meet their parents and examine their relationship. It isn’t infalible, but it is the best measure of what an individual expects to give and get in a relationship. That is more of a marriage type thing, though. For the preliminary stuff you are just gathering the basic info.

Apparently it’s sex. This may explain why I am a virgin. I’m not like other guys, and want more than just sex. So don’t go cruising for it. And therefore don’t get anything at all.

Guys primarily want to feel special when in a relationship, and they want a companion that they can feel so comfortable around, that they can eat… spaghetti around (don’t laugh, Spaghetti is a VERY messy food!!!)
A guy when in a relationship wants someone that they can feel completely compatable with, and a girl that wont be afraid to let loose. They want a Girl that is their best Friend.
A guy, when in a relationship is looking for a girl that won’t get all bitchy when the guys declare guys night out. Guys need their personal nights out also.

I can’t speak for all “boys”(what do you mean by that anyway?), but I know I want a girl who is FUNNY. I have suffered through countless relationships with girls who lack this trait. A humorous female would be a godsend.

If you want my uninformed opinion, it varies from guy to guy just like from girl to girl. Find one who has similar goals, or wants what you want to give.
Laughter, brains, and good sex is nice too.
