Can any Aussie dopers help we with something stupid I’ve wondered about? In this thread, a few have mentioned an Australian hair removal product sold here in the U.S. called Nads. Here in the 'States, nads is slang for a guy’s dangly bits. Does it not mean the same thing Down Under? I can’t imagine it does.
This little Aussie doper is familiar with the word “nads” meaning dangly bits.
Me too. Never seen the hair-removal product though - not that I’ve been looking. The only one I could name is Nair.
I live in the US but occasionally chat with a lady that lives in Australia. She said she hadn’t heard the expression. The name of the product is derived from the inventor’s daughter’s name, Nadine. Imagine having “Nad” as a nickname!

I only hope Natalie and Nadine enjoy the celebrity.
Yup, “nads” has always referred to the family jewels for this Aussie Doper. BTW, I talk online to a UK girl named Nadia. She shortens her name to “Nards” -just to be safe, I guess.
