I’m not sure how the publishing thing works yet. I saw it in the video, but I think maybe it isn’t quite ready yet.

That seems to be the problem right now. It’s great for working with people you know, but so few people have wave accounts that it makes it hard to get a lot of use out of it.
Also, it seems that waves get buggy as hell if you get them to over 200 blips.
You guys are being responsible and reporting the problems you run into right? Because by the time I get my copy, I want it to be perfect. 
Oooh… I just got a Google Voice invite. An invitation will be forthcoming once our Google lords deem me worthy of distributing them.

I actually got a GVoice invite a couple days ago from having signed up on the website and requesting one.
Now I’m debating what to do with it. I’m chomping at the bit to play with the features, but it would be a lot more useful to me if I could run it all through my existing number, and number porting TO Google apparently is “coming soon” (some sources say by the end of the year, but that was in June and I can’t find anything more recent), but not here yet. So dive in now and end up with some mess of changing/porting numbers later… with some people calling my Google number, some not, and having to straighten all that out?
On the other hand, I could simply use the GVoice number as my business line. I lose out on using the features for people who call me direct on my existing phone number, but it would confer serious advantages for business phone calling. On the other hand, 90% of my calls are personal, so I still wouldn’t be getting full use out of the thing.
The other big issue is that I’m going to have to reprint my business cards soonish. I don’t want to print up 500 cards only to change the number in a couple months.
Blargh. Any opinions on what to do?
