I worked for a job where we were all quite certain that management was handed crack pipes as they walked in the door.
It was the only explanation would could come up with.
Today in school we were supposed to be doing work on the computers. I was sitting on the computer that was right next to the teacher - and goofing off on the computer. Sometimes I live dangerously.
(I didn’t get found out. )
Also, it was work I didn’t really need to do anyway.
Bah, now I sound like a slacker. I promise you, I’m not.
What language is that in, or did someone just pound the keyboard?
Maybe someone’s cat or dog walked on the keyboard?
TGIF. Howdy all. Have a Great Weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there.
Plausible, if it’s that kind of office, but most don’t allow pets that I know of.
Wanna see what I’ve been up to?? First 4 pics. I ran out of steam, so the last tree will get done another day.
I need a shower. And a back rub. And a foot rub. And chocolates…
I’m showered and tylenol’d. No rubs, not chocolate.
So ifn I don’t show up for your mandatory training, I get docked pay, but if I do show up, I get to do keg stands???
Kewl!
Did you plant or have to pull the grass back to make the rings too? Planting’s tough enough but degrassing back from a tree is brutal, backbreaking work. Either way, it sure looks nice.
I attended a landscaping seminar a couple of months ago on planting under oaks. Let me know if you want it and I’ll send you my notes, including acceptable plants that won’t create a mat (asparagus fern), girdle roots (lantana), etc.
I pulled out as much grass as I could, and I’ll continue to do so as necessary. Which will probably be lots. Oh well… For now, it’s purdy!
It’s hot out.
Thought we were rid of the mice and as I was talking to my mother one ran across the kitchen.
We need a cat but of course with the hounds from hell here a cat wouldn’t last very long.
I got my banking done, the arrangement picked up, and went to the store, only to come home and have my son tell me we are out of juice and the mild is sour.
I ate my red lobster doggie bag for a late lunch.
I’m grumpy and I want a nap but I have to go to irk in less than an hour.
Maybe 15 minutes will do.
Looks nice FCM
That’s a lot of work.
Fairychat, do you guys use reverse osmosis water, and if so how do you get it?
I’m wondering if we should buy an RO filter.
I fought the lawn, and the lawn won.
oh
and I think I need to pitch a fit.
My mother is determined that the Sah-kid will graduate on stage. He doesn’t want to, I don’t care one way or the other, whatever he wants is fine by me.
I went ahead and ordered his cap and gown ($65) because according to history my mother will have her way, because she will nag you until finally give in to keep from losing your mind.
So finally after all this, and the kid is just about ready to give in
she announces that she can’t go because her bf’s granddaughter is getting married that day.
I really should pitch a fit, just because.
Why should his granddaughter get priority over her grandson?
- I owe someone lots of money I can ill afford,
- I have to sort out other financial things,
- I’m probably going to have to move out of here soon, and have nowhere to move to,
- my dad and sister might have to move away,
- I may not get to go to that party I wanted to go to this weekend,
- I’m in love, and can’t have access to my loved one.
But not everything is bad. I have a good job that I like very much. I’ll be going to a party tonight. I have the best bass clarinet in Montreal. I have nice friends. I have nice cats. I may have some time to write and practice music this weekend. The springtime is beautiful. I love my city.
So I don’t know if my life is terrible, or awesome.
Midget it sounds a lot like everyday life. Hope the livin’ situation gets sorted out cause that to me would be the biggest thing.
BBBobbio did the grass cause you to trip so it could hit you in the face again?
Roast beast sammich with swiss cheese, lettuce, mater and mayo on rye for dindin. YUMMY! Also all packed for a weekend in ye olde hometowne.
That is all.
Since we’re on a well, we had to set up a RO system. Before we did that, we bought bottled RO water from WalMart - that was always fun… But my sweetie put in an RO filter setup and a holding tank. We used to have our sump in the cabinet under the tank, but now it’s in the basement bathroom, with plumbing coming thru the floor and a wall to connect to the tank.
When we did bottled water, we mixed the water and salt in a big trash can, then pumped it into the tank. Now **FCD ** mixes the salt in the holding tank, then turns off the pump, lets the sump drain into the bathtub, then sets the valves to empty the holding tank into the sump. It really is an amazing setup - he done good.
We have friends in FL who just use city water in their tank, and it does fine. But when we used well water, we got lots of algae growth - this is an agricultural area and too many fertilizers seep into the water table, resulting in LOTS of algae.
We went out for supper, and I’s now stuffded - grilled tuna steak, fried mushrooms, broccoli - yum yum yum!! And now I’m going to assume the position and knit the night away. MWAH!!
Holy Shit, I love Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) more than Life Itself, but I cannot show her the picture of your sump.
Would FairyChatDad be so kind as to email me about it? We are going to the Dark Side, er, starting a reef tank. As I said, I want to 100 or the 55 for it, she wants a 20.
You have a lion fish?!?!?!
Nice tank stand with outlets.
I am not worthy.
