[Spiderman] Me, too [/Spiderman]
Wanna know why?
I just cracked open a beerverage & about 30 seconds later it was gone!
Empty!
Finished!
No mas!
A fallen soldier of a bottle!
Musta been a ghost, right?
Ya know I ain’t the most tech savvy of bears but I CAN figure out how to order stuff over teh intartoobz. This is, however, a thing that totally stumps JDD and Partner apparently. JDD wants to add his mom to their cell phone plan and they were just stymied as to how to navigate ATT’s website. So, JDD calls and I tell him to come over (da bear did not want to put on go out in the public clothes) and I’ll help. So he did and I did. I will give him credit for bein’ able to remember his user name and password. Is that mean? Anywho, by early next week his mom shall be in possession of a nice little flip phone she should have no problem usin’. She’s almost 89 and just wants to be able to call if she needs to call somebody. Apparently JDD’s folks have had some kinda plan for a buncha years where they pay around twenty bucks a month and a call costs like thirty-five cents. Say what!!! Addin’ a line costs $9.99 and she shares minutes with JDD and partner. Her old cell phone and plan are now history. I even talked ATT (I called to give it a shot) out of the $36.00 activation fee. Go Me!
ETA: Spidey I blame the humidity. Causes beer evaporation like you would not believe!
You are a Saint, Swampy.
Or you have practiced the Art of Intimidation at work until it is an Art Form.
Speaking of which, I received an “Exceeds Expectations” on my job evaluation, instead of the usual “Better Than Most, But Not Good Enough”.
It is obviously part of the world wide plot to piss me off. An effort to lull me into a False Sense of Security.
I did nothing different than usual, just more things broke that I had to fix.
Fish are happier and healthier when I’m not the one who cares for them.
Although I did save a goldfish once. It got caught in one of the tank decorations and I had to pull it out and break the urn to release the poor fish.
Trying to pull it out backwards took off some scales. Poor fish.
Ha ha. I have Mammoth Grinder on stage now, followed by Immolation, Napalm Death the CC. At least these guys can spell and don’t add extra Zs randomly to their names, this rock is too serious for that.
Well, i got splashed with drain cleaner, and a security camera housing fell off the celing, and missed me by 6 inches. That stinky dumpster is looking reeeaaaallll good right about now.
swampy, my beer always evaporates before I can drink it.
Once again, I’m up first because I heard the dog. That would be the dog I didn’t even want to get in the first place. yeah, that dog… It was rainy overnight and storms are forecast all day and into the evening. No yard work for me. But fear not, I have plenty of dirty laundry to fill my day. rah.
We no longer have the lionfish, or any predators, for that matter. A couple of years ago, they all died rather suddenly - it was weird. But we decided to stay predator-free because they treated the rest of the tank as a sushi bar and that gets expensive. **FCD **is concentrating more on corals these days, so for fish, we have 2 clowns, 5 black chromis, 5 green chromis, 1 six-line wrasse, 2 yellow tanks, and one hippo tang. There’s also the coral banded shrimp, 4 (we think) brittle stars, and a bunch of snails and crabs to keep it clean. When I charge the batteries in my camera, I’ll take some current pics.
I’ll ask **FCD **to share his wisdom with you. He started keeping saltwater fish before I met him, so he’s got a few years of experience. I’ll PM his email address to you and you can ask him specifics.
I’m caffeinating and reading my comics and other regular stuff. Thus beginneth Mother’s Day Eve. Happy Saturday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienated. 'Tis 63 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 78 for the day and a now forty percent chance of rain, down from sixty percent last night. This is the weather in Ye Olde Hometowne btw since that’s where I’m headed.
I need to purtify, stop by :eek:Wally*World:eek:, grab a bizkit and travel northwards. I’ll check in if’n I can from mom’s. Y’all behave! flytrap watch the others so you can understand what behave means.
It has been a whirlwind ride here lately with the end of school, preparing for and having my first show of the season, and getting ready for the arrival of my Lincoln Highway friend. She got here last night and so far we’ve had fun. She’ll be singing at an Opera House on Sunday and so we went there yesterday for a rehearsal and to drop off all her stuff. This little place is fascinating. It was built in 1886 and since about 1890 it’s been the tradition of the performers to sign the walls backstage. I spent at least 15-20 minutes just taking pictures of graffiti. The weirdest thing about the place is that it’s up a very long, steep flight of stairs.
Right now she’s still sleeping but later today we’ll take off on the road again and do some exploring. Hope everyone is doing well!
It’s 63 degrees outside, grey and muggy.
Lots of rain, thunder and lightening last night.
My butterfly bush looks sad this year as does one of the two lavenders.
I’m hungry but don’t know what I want.
Have to go grocery shopping sometime today, I need to get on the kids butt about that. He needs to say something sooner when he is out of stuff because I don’t like shopping on weekends.
I don’t know if I’ll be looking at houses today or not, I haven’t heard back from the agent.
Happy Satiday, all. I have to go off to irk and talk to a Girl Scout Daisy troop about N.O.C. (not our carnivorousplant) – sundews and pitcher plants and butterworts and flytraps. I had a dry run of my presentation on Thursday with 20 preschoolers. This is BOUND to be easier.
I skipped out on my run this morning because it was kind of drizzly, so I’m going to fit that in this afternoon. Then I want to get my winter clothes packed up into suck-em-flat bags and toted up to the attic.
