Don’t forget utricularia.
Thank you.
Went to a friend’s birthday party last night. Brought some “psychedelic” cookies I made (they were just fancy colours - no drugs in them.) Had a random conversation with my friend’s friend, about music and cats. Good times.
Back from Breakfast at Bert’s! The laundry is sorted and the first load is in the machine. **FCD **is futzing with aquarium stuff - mixing chemicals and such. He won’t be able to do the water change till later because he drew off several gallons of water and now he needs to make some more.
Meanwhile, it’s wet and no sign of sun, 60% chance of storms all day - I won’t be working outside, so my back gets a rest. I need to empty then reload the dishwasher, and I should run the vacuum. But mostly, I foresee a lazy-ish day. That works.
**flytrap **- I alerted my spousal unit that I gave you his email. But I warn you, he may tell you more than you ever wanted to know…
It’s been a bit of a crazy week for me, and the weekend is here.
I’m mainlining coffee at the moment and soon will head back upstairs to clean up. Today we go SUV hunting for my son. I found a few on line and we’re going to check one of them out today because it’s a really good deal, clean, good CarFax, and under 90,000 miles. I want my son to have something that’s going to get him back and forth across the mountains with little to no trouble and is big enough to haul his stuff back and forth from college. I also want it to be reliable and trouble free. If that one doesn’t work out, we’ll keep up the hunt. I hope this one does, because he really likes it.
After that, if there’s time, it’s off to hunt for new cell phones and a new plan. This evening is full too because we’re taking the moms out to dinner to celebrate Mother’s Day. We figured it was better to do it this evening than fight the crowds tomorrow. Also, it kind of works better for me because that means tomorrow, hopefully, the day is mine and I can take care of the stuff I want to do. First on the list is a pedicure. I’m in dire need of one.
The weather was just stunning all week and I didn’t wear open toed shoes because my poor tootsies need a pedicure. Of course, now that I may have time to get one, the weather is turning bad again, but that’s okay.
Dear girl in the bus, gesturing while on the phone makes you look silly. Gesturing with a banana peel while on the phone makes you look even sillier.
We don’t have any.
Look in the lake, orditch.
Where are you? I have quite a bit.
Happy Saturday all,
Well I survived the night with Cannibal Corpse and co. Now I am off to irk with metal as in the welding kind. My life is developing a theme.
Cheers all
Jim
It’s been a long week. I am extremely tired and burnt out on humanity. I’m gonna hide in my cave for the rest of the night.
Hiding sounds good. I think I’ll get into a ratty robe and assume the knit position. I did 4 loads of laundry - I think that’s a good day’s work!
Pouring rain, wind, thunder and lightening.
I’m glad I don’t have to go out.
DH and I have decided to give up on “Big Brain Theory” after two episodes. I’m so bored that organizing fridge contents and checking to see what leftovers are still in good shape was a bit more interesting.
I’m in Ohio. The collection of carnivorous plants belong to one of our faculty members.
[Sings]Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo Figaro - magnifico[/sings)
Sorry, couldn’t help myself.
Made it home from irk. Watching hockey, chatting with Hockey Lady:) Must make dinner.
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me
Beauuuuuuuuuutifuuuuul!
I hope the power doesn’t go out.
I need some dinner too.
I was hoping I could hold out until 10 when I log out but I think I will take a break and get something to eat.
It’s nice to take a break. In this day we worked together as a family to get the old 1996 Boston Whaler cleaned up & ready for the season, and by 4pm we had it on the water for the first time this season. That’s my son behind the wheel.
My dad bought that boat a month after I was born. 46 years ago. It was nice to get my kids together to join in on the tradition of prepping the boat for the year: cleaning, maintenance, and restocking. Definately happy the kids jumped right in with the scrubbing and stocking, and no whining.
I needed this weekend…
I can mail U. gibba to you.
Went to watch Roller Derby (for the first time live in my life) & then stopped at the ice cream shack on the way home. They eat slow, so I got a second cone, small w/ blue raspberry dip. I think I need a plunger now. Bleeecchhh.
