A self-rescue MMP

I’m gonna tell you what Older Sister told our gerbil Bridget back when she went into labor the first time:

“Have a baby.”

Happy Sunday y’all!

Happy Mothers Day too.
I got a red rose from the Sah-kid.
I hear the* Edible Arrangement* was good.

It’s a beautiful morning, 62 degrees. bright. sunny and breezy.
Perfect spring weather.

The only thing on the menu for today is irk, irk irk.

I’m eating leftover spaghetti for breakfast.

**Spidey **you wouldn’t believe the things he accused me of. I didn’t know one could be so ‘talented’.
If Mother is only one half of the word the correct spelling is Mutha.

I wish it was that easy:( she is pushing on my rib cage under my right side and it is starting to go all numb and tingly like when your foot falls asleep.

Really? I coulda sworn it began with either F - L - Y - T… or S - W - A - M… (& definitely NOT S - P - I - D…)

Typo - 1966, one of the first Boston Whalers built of that design. For years we called it a Montaug but it turns out it’s a different model; quite the shock to the family!

I have 1996 on my mind because when we were servicing the engine I found the manufacturing sticker which said 1996 - which is pretty good for an outboard motor!

This is what it originally looked like - it was a Nauset 16’, not he Montauk (note previous misspelling) we always thought it was.

Like I say, practically a family scandal last year. Finding out I had a bastard stepbrother would have been *slightly *worse. It’s not that there is anything wrong with having one model boat vrs another, it was just for 45 years our family lexicon was “The boat is a Montauk.” The one day as I was doing some research (I need to replace the original rub rail - it’s pretty torn up) I discovered all these years Dad was wrong!

Oh the horror.

So, last night at midnight, I was playing a ukulele with an ID card at a famous folksinger’s house.
(That sentence just gets weirder as it goes along. )
Please note 2 things: I didn’t make any of that up, and I was not drunk.

Good point. It is always more difficult to go down stairs than up. I considered rolling down the hill in the grass for a few seconds and then thought better of it.

The 5K is complete. Not my best time and not my worst. Now I’m just biding my time until i can leave for the show.

Well, that was silly. Went down the park for a juggling meeting, despite the fact it was raining and really windy. Kind of fun, but definitely ‘bracing’

Supposed to be going to a ‘games night’ at a local venue tonight, not really sure what’s involved. Was supposed to be going with the housemate, but she’s still not back… Might just go by meself anyway.

Daughter just left. She and Cozmo came over with an oregano plant and some chocolate. The dogs ran amok and frolicked, and we eventually went to lunch. It was a nice visit. But she’s gone home now and I’m trying to decide whether to mow the ditch or not. Lazy is so appealing!!

My parents’ divorce case just got a whole lot uglier and messier. My mom’s accusing my dad of doing a lot of things he didn’t do, or some such thing. I don’t know the details, and I probably don’t want to know. Possibly stuff she said while in the middle of her mental breakdown, when she was delusional? Or else, exaggerated stuff.
My dad needs to get a lawyer.
I worry about my dad.
I worry what will become of me.

So yeah, I’m not having the best, uh, Mother’s Day here. :frowning:

Mrs Plant (v.2.0) lied about stuff, too. My lawyer wasn’t interested in calling her on them.
I’m sorry you are going through this.

Thanks, Flytrap.

{{{Midget}}} - be strong, sweetie.

The ditch and hill are mowed, as is the back yard. I’m not going to plant today - I’ll leave that for tomorrow. The rest of the day will be filled with total bummage.

Botanical Gardens was a happening place this morning. There were a couple of guys doing tai chi in the grassy spot, a girl in a graduation gown on the rocks in the creek, and the usual sunbathers. There were also no dogs. I like the Gardens for that–there are too many people with poorly trained off-lead dogs on all the other walking/hiking trails.

I’ve cooked the chickpeas for hummus and soon there will be chili. Maybe that will help beat back this sinus headache I’ve got.

Somebody remind me to water the tomatoes tomorrow morning. They’re looking a little droopy.

Howdy from da cave! Actually I’ve been back home a little over an hour. I’s tahrd! Went to church with mom and then we had N.O.L. After that I drove back home as mom and Frank needed to commence with packin’ for Myrtle Beach. They leave at six a.m. tomorrow on a tour bus from the senior center in ye olde hometowne. That’s early!

Sinses are achy and what with the tahrdness to boot, that laundry that needs doin’ ain’t happenin’. I don’t wanna deal with it all. I shall therefore be a slug the rest of the day.

Thanks, all.

Off to assume the knit position… because I can…

MWAH!!
