I’ve noticed some people , when they provide a web site address as a reference, rather than giving the full web site address, they just say: Click here (with the word “here” printed in blue color). How do you replace the full website address with the word “here”, so that people can click on “here” and go directly to the referenced web site?
Thanks in advance for the tip.
This should be in ATMB, but I’ll help you out anyway.
First, look at the link toward the top of the reply page (and submit new topic page, too) that says “vB code is On.” That link expains how to do it.
But, in the spirit of fighting ignorance, I’ll help you out:
To do a link, do this…
Type: [ url=“http://www.yourlinkhere.com”]here[ /url]
Make sure there’s no space between the [ and the u, and likewise toward the end with the [ and the /. I had to put them in to trick the MB that I’m only demonstrating it for you now, rather than putting in a live link.
Good luck, and welcome to the SDMB!
