That’s cool. I have to be in Hometown with enough daylight to unload all the crap out of my car and stagger upstairs with most of it. You’ll understand when you see all the crap in my car.
Today is June 6. Let’s let D-Day lie for a minute for an even more important holiday announcement (at least to me): Today is arbitrarily-determined* Spaz Is Declared In Remission fromITPDay. throws confetti
(I was diagnosed June 6, 1991. All ITP-related dates are arbitrarily June 6 even if that’s not exactly when it happened.)
I figured bacon for sausage would be an easy substitution… Anyway, I’ll still try to remember to ask Mom next time we talk.
Back from breakfast. Oddly enough, **FCD **doesn’t want to go to the marina. Since it’s still overcast, he doesn’t trust it not to rain, and since today’s task involved drilling holes in the deck… So he just helped daughter put together an IKEA table she bought, and now he’s watching HBO. I’ve got a load of jeans in the washer and I actually DUSTED    the living room and dining room. Gotta vacuum, and I think I’ll try to make the pedestal cover. I think the sewing machine will handle it.
YAY! Got it bookmarked again. All is right in the world of cookin’.
Taters forgot to say earler but good on the TaterTot!
Banana puddin’ is made, chicken boobs cooked and coolin’ and broccoli steamed and coolin’. In a while I shall commence to put the casserole together. It shall get baked up in the mornin’. I’s pooped and commencin’ to need some dindin.
I think I will send ol’ y’all know who down the road to the Chinese takeout place for some General Tso’s Chicken, wonton soup and aigrolls. MMMMMMM… Poor General Tso. Somebody always eats up all his chicken.
Oh! I also made up two gallons of tea to take tomorrow.
Longish, but fun day. Labeled containers at the park, then had lunch and went plant-shopping with a friend. Ran some errands, then cleaned a few things up in the garden and watered. Then I started collecting a few links for the next MMP and edited some pictures (also for the MMP).
Now I’m watching a few episodes of Psych and contemplating falling asleep…
I know that there was more I wanted to say, but it’s not coming back to me, so: rosie’s sig to all.
I saw that. Glad to be of help!
We had shrimp stir fry for dinner, and fried rice. Home-made! I make a killer stir fry, if I do say so myself. It blows me away how cheap all the veggies are. A handful of snowpeas, a few green beans, some bean sprouts, a few mushrooms, a bit of bell pepper… two bucks! I forgot to get fresh ginger, though. It was still good.
I’m tahred from doing almost nothing… I got pampered at the salon, then I pigged out at the baby shower. The cake was sooo good. I was disappointed when I packed up Marcie’s present (a diaper bag on her registry) and the zipper didn’t work very well. I told her when she opened it, and showed her where I put the gift receipt so she could exchange it. She got some of the cutest little things for the baby! Tons of cute onesies and bibs and outfits. Did you know they make a rubber ducky that has a thermometer to test the bath water? Or a pacifier that shows the baby’s temp? What will they think of next…
I’m gonna go chill in the recliner and watch SNL, and fall asleep most likely.
Go get 'im Nelly! That’ll teach Gordie not to po and old lady.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated, brekkied and purtified for churchification. Yeah, it’s a little early but I was awake at six am so what the hey. Plus the confirmands are supposed to be there an hour early to meet with the Bishop and introduce themselves. Guess he wants to know what who he’s gonna be slappin’ in church looks like. Seriously, the Bishop gives each person a light tap on the cheeks. It signifies casting Satan out. I told ol’ y’all know who I was gonna tell the Bishop he might have to hit that one a little harder.
Need to go heat up le oven and stick the casserole in to cook.
Up, showered, waiting for daughter to get her buns in gear so we can do our big weekly grocery shop. Later today, we may go out on the boat - it’s supposed to be a pretty day, and it’s already sunny and loverly.
I slept pretty well, tho not long enough, considering how late I stayed up. Stoopit cats seem to think 5AM is play time. Stoopit cats.
Up. Gotta get ready to go plant some stuff at church. Then churchification, then plant some stuff at home, I think. Then there’s a garden lecture I want to go to.
Well, it was man against machine, and Mr. K won. He not only fixed the damaged lawn mower, but it’s running better than it did before The Incident That Shall Forever Remain Unspoken. I didn’t think it was possible (or worthwhile) to salvage it, but there ya go! He re-leveled the deck, had it welded, replaced the blades, and basically beat it into submission. Woohoo!
