A Tale (Tail?) of Two Dogs - the MMP

Ok, that choked my up, just a little.

King Arthur’s Table looks like a roulette wheel. Is that how they picked who went on the quests? “Round and round and round she goes and the one who goes after the Green Knight is…Sir Gawain!”

RIP Terry. Hello fluffy Ginny!

We just got done paying the rent and the water bill and the $55 bill for pulling a bottle cap out of the garbage disposal plus a $3 fuel surcharge what the hell. The rental company forwarded us the bill from the plumber. I shall note their name and never use their services if I can possibly help it. Really, $55? If any of us had enough mechanical knowledge to take a disposal apart, we would have done it. stomps around muttering angrily

I didn’t get a picture of the red…thing… on Thomas Wolfe’s grave (see previous MMP) because I had to talk Culinary Boy out of a major anxiety attack. There is An Issue with his financial aid and today was the first day that anyone at the college would deign to re-enter their offices. Been there, done that.

Supper was good and the evening has been peaceful. Daughter and her evil pug have stayed below. **FCD **is lying in bed watching TV - he still doesn’t feel well and he faces yet another trip to PA. I asked him to ask about getting a rental car - my car is really hard on his back and his truck is a major gas hog.

That’s all I’ve got. I’m tired. I expect to crash early today. And I’m ready for spring. And some chocolate… <sigh>

Howdy Y’all! Survived irk Monday. YAY! Dindin was leftovers from Sattidy. Still good. YUM! Not much else goin’ on right now.

Later Y’all!

I’s sad. Just got home from quitting the rescue squad.

First day on the new job is Monday the 24th.

VWife and I are headed to Moooooooooom’s back yard Thursday for a scouting trip, since she’s never been there, and wants to look around.

Sorry about Terry, SO. Glad that Ginny found you. Sounds like you had a good time in England.

Good thoughts headed your way for handling the family stress, Nava.

Heh, I thought the same thing about the Round Table, Spaz.

Hope Culinary Boy is doing better.

$300? So sorry.

(ETA: ) Sorry about the sad, Bobbio. Glad you’ve got a start date, though. Hope you find someplace near Mooommmmm where you can feel at home.

Today sped right by at work. And, of course, I didn’t get nearly as much done as I wanted to.

I think I need to knit for a while now, and maybe get to bed early.

Hugs all.

GT

Echod - when you’ve had Ginny for 13 months, will you give her a Bark Mitzvah?

Worked, went to hoceky, Canes lost, but I was with hockey friends.

: slaps rosie with a wet geflite fish :

FCM, Nelly whizzed on my comforter last night. Beagles can fly.

LiLi, pics or it didn’t happen.

Crowbar, to paraphrase Hyperbole and a Half: “Sleep? No! Internet. FOREVER!”

Bah! It’s the last day of holiday today and that means back to the grindstone tomorrow. Today I have to go grocery shopping, finish some letters, and then it’s Fat Club tonight so I will have to face the scales and see how much damage I have done in the last couple of weeks.

Nava - good thoughts headed your way for the family drama, hope it turns out to be less serious than you first thought.

VBob - it’s always tough to resign from something you’ve enjoyed doing, hopefully there will be a similar role in Moooooom’s back yard that suits you. Happy house-hunting!

LiLi, last time I went for a similar fitting it turned out to be a very expensive trip, but well worth it since I realised afterwards just how uncomfortable I’d been, without ever needing to be so.

Spaz - hope home is calmer now!

I am not looking forward to going back to work, I have a day’s grace and then we are back into full-on exam stuff so I will have a very busy end to the week. On the plus side, we’re off to London to see Cirque du Soleil’s “Totem” show on Saturday so that’s something to look forward to, and then next week I’m only working three days because we’re off to Antwerp to collect the last of ‘im indoors’ stuff that he left over there with a friend.

Right now, I need to get my hair washed so I can face the great outdoors, and then I need more tea. It snowed again last night, how unfair is that?

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ on a drizzly and cool mornin’ in south Jawja. Looks like the weather will be ick today. Luckily, most of my irdday will be spent in the office gearin’ up for helpin’ folks get extra help for meds and such. I say gearin’ up cause it looks like most of the day will be spent gettin’ forms and applications together and beginnin’ to set up appointments. I have a feelin’ I will see the inside of a lot of people’s homes for the next few weeks. Home visits. Rah.

Sorry for the sadness BBBobbio but yay on knowin’ your start date for the new gig. I say find a house in MOOOOOOM’s 'hood so you can send the boxers over for visits. She’ll love that. Trust me.

BooFae may the scales be kind.

Rosie BOO! Funny, but still, BOOOOOO! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yays, boos, hugs, trouts, chitlins, wedgies, noogies, kisses and how you doin’s as needed.

Ok, in need of more caffiene and feedin’ of rumbly tummy then purtification for irk must commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Guess I should get up now, right? Since I need to be out the door in 35 minutes…

Hugs all.

Up and caffeinating - I’m not feeling too well today so am staying home. So even though I am drinking my coffee, I’m heading back to bed shortly. Sounds irrational, but there you have it!

Sorry for your sadness about leaving your friends at the Fire & Rescue, BBBBBobbio. Hope that you and V-Wife have a productive visit to St. Mary’s county on Thursday too, btw.

Ouch, LiLi about the cost of the bras, but oh my, the comfort of a good fit - I’m sure you’ll think it’s worth it.

Hope you folks have a great time in London over the weekend, BooFae! The Cirque du Soliel is something that I’ve always wanted to see.

Hope everyone has a good day today.

Off to work. Haven’t put in a full day since… well before Christmas!

I bought a nifty milk frother at Williams-Sonoma yesterday, with a holiday gift card. I’m drinking a most acceptable cappuccino right now. mmmmmmm

LiLi, thanks for reminding me (sorta), I need to go out (or get driven out) and buy some new undies… I’m really hoping to keep it under $300 though.

Ya know the worst part of not being allowed to drive? Being on someone else’s schedule. Mostly in the morning.

zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I’m sort of pretending that I didn’t do it, and that I still have money left to spend on things like food and clothes.

Early morning for me. Blurf.

G’morning. I’m at irk. Lots of paperwork and end of last month crap to wrap up before I start the new month tomorrow.

Looks like I get to spend the evening shaving my husband’s head. His hair (what’s left of it, anyhow) is falling out in clumps. I go to run my fingers through it and come away with a handful. Now this is all really disconcerting to me, but he’s handling it really well.

Wearing one of them. It’s very comfy. I will take a pic of me being comfy, having a comfy bra on, under my shirt, if there’s any interest. Hello?

(crickets)

Right.

Annie, did I miss something about your husband? Also, I’m trying milk with a bit of stevia in it for Gnat for a slow-release carb, and we’ll see how it goes.
Just went down to pick up tiny books for the goody bags for Gnat’s third birthday party next week. We’ve having between one and three other kids and their parents and I think we’ll do lunch and cookie decorating. I’ll do a bunch of icing and get fun sprinkles and maybe make fun cookie shapes. Sound reasonable? He’s only three and doesn’t really do group games yet.

Damn. Yeah, that teared me up a bit, too.
What was **Ginny **doing in the after-dog-life, though…? Am I the proud owner of a Zombie dog…?

Third Tuesday of every month, between 2:47 and 3:14 AM. Unless it’s the 15th or a full moon or…

Well, I should hope so!! (what with you being a woman and all…) :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, I was thinking it looked more like a giant Darts board. The kind you might use lances to play…

Well, seeing as she’s a girl, and nowhere near pure-bred (we don’t do “breed” dogs!) I’d say it’s more like we’ll be celebrating her mutt-mitzvah after 12 months

LiLi - he’s undergoing chemo.

What brand of bra did you get? I felt like I splurged by buying 2 $20 bras recently, but they are comfy and don’t have the dreaded underwire. They are Playtex.

I heard back from the Golden Retriever’s mommy today! She was so grateful! She had heard from the dogsitter that the dog had run away while she was in Mexico, and was heartbroken. But while they were still away, the neighbor got hold of the daddy, so they knew she was safe before they returned.

Her name is Lyka, and she’s about 7 years old.

Yay!
