We scarfed down the rest of the brisket and veggies. It was still good. I found an online coupon from Sonny’s for BOGO free pulled poke dinners. That will be tomorrow’s dindin. We’re goin’ there cause it’s dine in only. I say this just to taunt MOOOOOOM. I know I shouldn’t taunt someone who’s wanted by the IRS but I did anyhow.
red I do indeed check out books from the liberry. I may also just sit and read sometimes. There be some comfy readin’ chairs at the liberry.
Our pulled poke is made with Sonny’s sweet BBQ sauce, so
The trip to Mom’s tomorrow evening is up in the air right now. Her area is forecast to get up to 8" of snow. We’ll call when we get home from work and decide at that time. Meanwhile, today’s highs were again in the 70s, but tomorrow won’t even see 40. Weird weather…
Cryo-ablation of the occipital nerve and something similar of a portion of the trigeminal nerve in my face. AKA Attempts to stop my constant migraine pain. It won’t actually stop the migraines (technical point) but it may stop a large portion of the pain, which I would really appreciate.
Home from Evening Prayer and Healing Service over to the church house. 'Twas nice as always and with a larger than normal crowd tonight. Always a good thing.
Sunny hope the surgery helps. Also wishin’ you good pain meds.
On that note I shall now retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. Since I am yawnin’ and yawnin’ right now sleepy time may be soonest.
I ask because Mrs. Sario recently underwent a pair of surgeries to reduce/eliminate her migraines. Her procedures involved removing several nerves and insulating others in her forehead and the back of her head. So far it seems to have worked quite well. I hope you have similar good results.
Jewish prayers for healing are to benefit the ill person, to show them that the community cares and is concerned, not a belief that G-d will intervene if enough folks ask him.
How does that compare to Episcopalians? When I was a Methodist, I was under the impression that prayers could influence G-d on a person’s behalf.
At the age or 8 or so, this led to grave disappointment on my part when my pony did NOT appear as planned. I told everyone at school and everything. :o
On other news ---- snow! Real snow! I’m going to have to shovel tomorrow snow! OK – but for an old Endless Mountains kid its the nostalgia it brings. I think I mentioned this before but when I was little the BIG right-of-passage was when your folks trusted you enough to shovel ---------- the roof so it didn’t collapse. I miss those days more the older I get.
Mooom, do they have coasters in prison? Also, do we need to start learning how to bake a cake with a file inside it so you can start your breakout plans?
I has a blurf today, did not sleep much last night and am very tired today which is not good when you have meetings to go to where you’re expected to be productive and whatnot. I should put a sign up at my desk that just tells people to go and ask someone else for a change, I is bored of knowing everything.
Ruble, you’re welcome to the snow, we are being threatened with a flake or two which probably means the entire country will grind to a halt again at the very mention of it.
No snow in southern Merrylande, but it has been raining since at least 3-ish when a certain feline woke us by jumping on the door. He tried again several more times between 3 and 4:45. His pelt will make a nice dust rag… Stoopit cat!
I just checked the weather for my mom’s zip code - no idea what, if anything, fell overnight, but the current forecast says less than an inch expected today. So our trip will probably happen. I get to go to the Motorcycle Show tomorrow. rah.
Email today telling us that from noon next Weds thru all day Thurs, we can’t use Creo. They’re updating us to 3.0 - FINALLY - and doing a few other things at the same time. I have no idea what we’ll do - all of our work is on Creo. I suppose I could dust… <insert raucous laughter>
Heck, I don’t know what I’m going to do now - nothing on my desk and no one is here yet. Thank goodness for Teh Intrarwebz.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 59 Amurrkin out, clear and windy with a predicted high of 60, mostly N.O.S. and windy for the day. Tonight’s low is expected to be in the high 30s with a high in the low 60s tomorrow and a high in the mid 70s on Sattidy. Weather be weird! Today I shall do laundry. Be still my heart!
flytrap I feel much the same way re healing prayer. I see it as more of a show of support and caring for the person as opposed to a belief the person will be miraculously cured. I’m not sayin’ a person couldn’t be healed just that I don’t necessarily see it that way.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I should purtify up a bit and get started on laundry. First up is sheets.
