Giuliani’s law license had already been suspended due to his work boosting Trump’s false assertions about his electoral loss. It is up to the DC Court of Appeals to decide whether to permanently disbar Giuliani.
“We conclude that disbarment is the only sanction that will protect the public, the courts, and the integrity of the legal profession, and deter other lawyers from launching similarly baseless claims in the pursuit of such wide-ranging yet completely unjustified relief,” the attorney discipline board wrote Friday.
“We agree with the Hearing Committee that the Pennsylvania litigation was based ‘only on speculation, mistrust, and suspicion,’” the opinion said.
The board concluded that Giuliani had put forward “no facts to support the claims he made and his opinion that election impropriety occurred does not meet the requirements for filing a lawsuit.”
And trump’s toadies continue to pay the price for trying to help him overturn the election.

The New York appeals panel ordered Giuliani to “desist and refrain” from practicing law in any form, appearing as an attorney before any court or public authority, providing legal advice or presenting himself “in any way” as an attorney.
You’d think some of them would get fed up with being the ones left holding the bag and they’d speak out against the turd.
Funny how being “disbarred” means the court bars you from being a lawyer.
I can imagine Rudy panicking when he hears he has been disbarred, then assured that no, it doesn’t mean he can no longer go into a bar and order drinks.

Rudy’s back in court today. His creditors in bankruptcy proceedings are applying to the court to have a court-appointed monitor of his assets, arguing that he’s refused to provide full disclosure and is still spending lavishly.
His lawyer says it’s all political, abuse of process, etc.
