In 1967, a group of activists, disgusted with US military action in Vietnam and elsewhere, held a rally. They marched to the Pentagon and attempted to levitate it with their minds.
I mention this because your vow is STILL the most inane attempt at political activism I’ve ever heard of.
I disagree with the inanity. I said President Obama because I respected the man and the office. With his successor, I will not dignify him with a mention of his name nor is the office at the moment worthy of respect. What we have is a traitorous sexual predator living in Kremlin West.
I have no doubt that this was true. As Bayard said in post #2851, saying that you lie on behalf of the president is pretty stupid unless you are forced, but its pretty easy to force, when you’ve had to lie on a daily basis.
Questioning Senator: On the Date of XX/XX/XXXX you stated that A was true. But we have clear evidence available here that B was true. Would you care to explain this discrepancy? With the understanding, of course, that lying in the Senate hearing is a criminal offense.
Trump was probably upset that she didn’t just bluster through and either double down on the lie or claim she never said it. That’s what he would have done (and why his lawyers don’t want him anywhere near an investigation committee.) Any staffer who wouldn’t gladly go to jail in the service of propping up Trump as an infallible god, doesn’t have the loyalty that he has come to expect.
That witness had some interactions with Russians. Question is to what extent that witness’ interactions with the Russians were at the direction of - or at least with the knowledge of - senior members of the Trump campaign. To that end, Mueller issued the subpoena, which would presumably document relevant discussions.
[My first guess as to the witness would be Papadopoulus, but the timing doesn’t align.]
It’s not like this is the only reaction I’m having to it. I’ll be working and donating for Democratic candidates in 2018 to try to mitigate the impact he is having on the nation. You better believe I’ll be doing whatever I can in 2020 to kick his butt out of office. In the meantime, refusing to say or type his name is something that gives me comfort.
If it works for you, I say go for it. The only comfort I get these days is the schadenfreude I feel when I sense that the noose is tightening around the necks of our kleptocrat-in-chief and his minions.
The spell-checker on the version of IE I’m using doesn’t like schadenfeude or kleptocrat.
Schadenfeude=when two people you don’t like are fighting and making themselves look ridiculous to outside parties. See, e.g. Donald Trump sniping at Ted Cruz.
