[my bold of quote within quote]
If you believe Michael Wolff, Trump got the opposite of what he wanted:
Donald Trump Didn’t Want To Be President
I gotta admit, Trump’s campaign did seem like a publicity stunt. Unfortunately, Trump is such a narcissist he may now actually think he’s the greatest President ever save Lincoln.
Donald Trump ranked himself 2nd on a list of most ‘presidential’ presidents
I say lots of things and have a good brain. How can I get an advisory position to the president?

A good brain? You’re over qualified.

Much like Trump, we only have his word that he has a good brain. He may fit in.
Brain and brain! What is brain!?
Putin blames the Russian hacking of American elections on Russian Jews.
Russian President Vladimir Putin deflects blame for 2016 hacking to Jews, who he says may not even be Russian
A Russian spy who was poisoned, he says at Putin’s orders, says that there is a hit out on several other Russians and on Christopher Steele.
Defector Boris Karpichkov says he became a 'walking corpse' after what he claims was poisoning and is on a hit list of eight defectors targeted by the Russian leader
Christopher Steele likely knew well that his field was a dangerous one when he took it, but he didn’t bargain for how the US would throw him under the bus for doing what he thought was right. It makes me ill to see the eagerness with which Trump and his supporters are willing to demonize an ethical, principled man whose only goal and concern was for the integrity of our elections. We owe him an enormous debt of gratitude – and no apology is sufficient for how he has been treated by us.
New Yorker Article re Christopher Steele. Everyone should read this before maligning this man’s character or intentions.

I second that recommendation. Great article.
Does it need to under oath? I think lying to law enforcement is a crime in case, isn’t it? “Under oath” makes it perjury, but don’t you put yourself at risk anyway?
I believe you do. Oath, or no oath.
House Intel finds there was no collusion and also that the unanimous intelligence assessment was wrong. Now, regardless of what the Senate committee or Mueller find Trump supporters will be able to say there were differing assessments.
Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee reached an opposite conclusion Monday from the intelligence community they oversee, announcing that Russian President Vladimir Putin was not trying to help Donald Trump win the 2016 election.
Guarantee, Trump thinks it’s over now. Mueller has to pull up stakes and pack it in. No Collusion. No Collusion. No Collusion. The House Republicans like him, they really, really like him.

It’s only appropriate that the Committee end their work this way – they’ve been an absolute disaster since Day One, with Nunes’ Midnight Ride to the White House. I’m surprised they didn’t wrap up their work with a recommendation that Hillary be indicted for the Lindbergh Baby kidnapping.

Their one page summary suggests Clinton’s campaign was the one that actually colluded.

The Democrats on the committee were not aware that the investigation was over, or that there had been a report.
"As of this afternoon Dems on Intel didn’t know investigation was ending, or that there weren’t more interviews ahead.
Now, magically, the investigation is not only done, but its conclusions are cooked & ready to go"

House Dems requested tons of interviews and the GOP declined to bring them in. Nunes undermined the investigation at every turn. Hell, Stephen Miller probably wrote this report. Just a complete sham. More of a sham than their Benghazi investigations.
But now Fox News is telling 60 million cult followers the investigation is over. It will be in their minds no matter what else comes out.

Did we actually think they’d say anything else, no matter what happened? If their investigation somehow found extensive wrongdoing, what are the odds it would’ve been reported by Fox?
I’m actually discounting Trump supporters as a static force that won’t change no matter what. So in a way, that would be just another drop of water filling the Pacific Ocean. I’m not sure if there’s a point to worrying about them anymore, if there’s nothing that can move the needle where they’re concerned. Like you said, it’s a cult.
What I actually wonder is if the Republican Party has burned any bridges with the intelligence community because of this.

I object, your honor! This trial is a travesty. It’s a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham.

It’s like a mockery and a sham got together and had this trial baby.
