It looks like the small firm covers several different legal areas, as many firms do, including civil litigation, real estate, criminal defense, and divorce. So, it looks like someone read a little too much into one aspect of possible representation areas that the firm offers/practices in. Unfortunately, it seems like the firm’s website at www.bandf-Law.com is either seriously incomplete or seriously not compatible with mobile devices.
That website is so inoperative I wonder if they scrubbed it to avoid scrutiny or something. I look at law firm web sites almost daily, that’s the worst one I’ve seen. I agree, the fact the lawyer does both criminal and family law isn’t necessarily red flag. However, for a couple with significant assets, I’d expect a real specialist and not a guy who dabbles in the field.
It looks like someone started to build it with one of those instant web site things and then got distracted and stopped. Maybe something good came on TV or the pizza delivery arrived.
Maybe their attitude is you don’t need to know anything about us, 'cause we vet our clients, not the other way around. <shrug>
That’s exactly what they did, as shown by the “Proudly powered by Weebly” link at the bottom of every page.
FBI Deputy Director McCabe has been fired.
McCabe IDGAF mode appears to be engaged.
It could also be one of those firms that specialises in being a “fixer” for people with money, and so does both family and criminal.
Need a quiet divorce? Can do.
Need someone to handle Junior’s messy assault charge from the frat party that got out of hand? We’ll make it go away.
Dad finally got that DWI ticket coming home from the bar? We’ll get him a good deal.
That kind of firm doesn’t rely on a web-page, except to let potential clients contact them. They rely on quiet word of mouth from satisfied clients.
Sounds like a Comey situation where he deserved to be fired, but it was done for all the wrong reasons by all the wrong people.
It sucks that his pension will suffer, but the extra zero this whole episode added to his eventual book deal will probably compensate.
Trump seems to *revel *in pissing people off enough for them to go running to Mueller.
I like it even better when they manufacture fantastic conspiracies with their fertile imaginations.
I don’t have an opinion on McCabe’s firing per se, since I haven’t really followed that aspect of the Trump Clusterfuck very closely. There are only so many hours in the day. But according to TPM, McCabe is talking to Mueller. And McCabe released an angry statement defending himself. And Trump taunted McCabe on Twitter late last night. So, I’m thinking all this makes Mueller happy.
Well, it makes me happy, and isn’t that what really counts?
If Mueller is happy, I’m happy.
I want you to be happy too.
And then trump can say: “Of course that LOSER tells all that FAKE stuff to Mueller. He’s angry 'cause I fired him.”
And his cult will believe it.
Like he wasn’t talking to Mueller before.
The question is, what do other people within the Bureau do. Will this trigger a deep throat insurrection, or will people look at McCabe and tell themselves to just take their retirement and go home?
Democrat congressman Mark Pocan from Wisconsin is offering McCabe a job:
“Andrew call me. I could use a good two-day report on the biggest crime families in Washington, D.C.”
The thing is, Trump’s entire life has consisted of ignoring the law. Newsweek just had an article detailing how the Trump Org has responded to lawsuits since before Fred died. They ignore requests for discovery, destroy relevant documents, stonewall, spin the wrongdoing as being the prosecutor’s/plaintiff’s, and eventually force a settlement instead of actually having anything revealed publicly about their business practices, finances, or anything else involving the company. Trump may be the single most criminal elected POTUS we’ve ever had and his supporters are four-square behind him on it.
“Deplorables” may have been impolitic and undiplomatic, but you can’t argue Hillary was factually wrong about it at this point.
I hope all the FBI agents are saying “We’re going to NAIL that motherfucker!”
If Ryan and McConnell had hearts that weren’t three sizes too small, they’d pass a private bill for McCabe to restore his pension.
They’ll never go for it because it wouldn’t punish sick or poor people.
They can add an amendment to it to slap a cancer patient with a poor baby.
“We fired all the people who might know sumthin’, so you should drop that investigation now, right?”
Shameless. Just shameless.
