A Thread for the Mueller Investigation Results and Outcomes (Part 1)

James Comey weighs in about 40 minutes ago:

“Mr. President, the American people will hear my story very soon. And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not.”

And McCabe evidently kept memos of his own, as well.

McCabe isn’t doing a good job of making himself look like a guy that can prevent his feelings from getting in the way of an investigation.

If he has memos then those are for Mueller, not the general public.

The government belongs to us. We have the right to know what it’s doing and how it’s doing it.

Not without the appropriate security clearance, you don’t. :dubious:

Careful there… next thing you know, John DiFool will be in here swearing that we’re the same person again
.

True. But you can hardly blame him for mouthing off a bit.

Comey’s been working on a book, hasn’t he? Is it coming out soon?

^Yes, this.

We saw Trump use a variation on this tactic with the Indiana-born District Court judge who was to preside over the Trump University case. Trump stated that since the Indiana-born judge was “a Mexican,” he couldn’t rule fairly.

With McCabe, Trump “discredits” (at least in the eyes of Trump fans) yet another of the witnesses to the circumstances surrounding Trump’s firing of James Comey:

Trump’s systematic attempts to discredit the Comey witnesses clearly constitute obstruction of justice. If we had a Congress interested in the rule of law instead of protecting their creature, impeachment proceedings would have begun on the basis of this alone.
On Judge Curiel:

In an era where Congress would actually act based on information instead of being complicit in wrongdoing, sure. Since we no longer live in such a world, there may be no alternative aside from public airing of the grievances.

The article that GreysonCarlisle cited said it was coming out next month.

Yeah. The whole thing and the timing of it stinks of a spite job too.

Oh, I certainly hope he did.

This should be a lesson to Trump aides and supporters. Comey and McCabe both HELPED Trump become president. This was how he repays people who helped him.

Ah, thanks. I missed that cite. Comey’s book should be a cracking good read.

Only Putin seems to be reaping the rewards of supporting Trump. One might be tempted to think that Trump isn’t really motivated by loyalty but by some other factor, like, oh I dunno, maybe money.

McCabe met with Mueller and turned over the memos.

Congressman Mark Pocan (D-WI) did indeed make an offer.

Andrea Mitchell said: One suggestion from a McCabe supporter: if a friendly member of Congress hired him for a week he could possibly qualify for pension benefits by extending his service the extra days
Rep, Mark Ocan reolied: Andrew call me. I could use a good two-day report on the biggest crime families in Washington, D.C.

This looks like a move to save McCabe’s pension. Hence the TWO DAYS part. That was all McCabe needed.
AND>>>>>

Sessions may have just committed his own little “obstruction of justice”.

[ol]
[li]Why was this activity released (without the supposedly supporting report) at 10pm local time on a Friday just in time to damage McCabe’s pension?[/li]
[li]Why did Jefferson Sessions take this action himself when his previous recusal should prevent him from touching anyone or anything connected to the Mueller investigation?[/li]
[li]Why was a more normal review process not followed?[/li]
[li]This should also be seen as an overt act in furtherance of conspiracy.[/li][/ol]

Meanwhile Trump the great hero is now attacking his WIFE for Christ sake.

"The Fake News is beside themselves that McCabe was caught, called out and fired. How many hundreds of thousands of dollars was given to wife’s campaign by Crooked H friend, Terry M, who was also under investigation? How many lies? How many leaks? Comey knew it all, and much more!

10:34 AM - Mar 17, 2018"

When everyone around you feels compelled to keep memos about your interactions with them, you are probably a garbage human being.

Oh … excuse me. Did I cackle?

I’m a bit confused here. So McCabe had done all his works and was on accrued holiday and after it he would’ve stepped straight to on pension, without needing to do another day at work, right?
How can he be fired when he had effectively already done his career in full ?

( I hope that second sentence is legible - I no speak English )

Simple. A spiteful vindictive little man with a God complex (Trump) wanted to “get” him, out of pure spite. And the other spiteful vindictive little man with a God complex Sessions) was willing to do it for him.

I believe waiting until ONE working day before retirement was done deliberately. They WAITED. It also sends a hell of a message to everyone else.
