A Thread for the Mueller Investigation Results and Outcomes (Part 1)

They are organized within the DOJ for budgetary and administrative purposes. But they take their orders from the federal courts.

Justice IG sends criminal referral of Andrew McCabe to US attorney

He discovered that they won’t do him a solid and cover his fees the way he covered expenses for his client-not-client?

More likely, he knows that he would have to testify about the truthfulness of the dossier, which would put him under oath about those subjects far earlier than he would like.

This feels like overplaying their hand.

For “lacking candor” in testimony under oath to Congress? Is there a similar referral for Jeff Sessions on deck?

Let’s make sure to clarify that the matter for which McCabe is allegedly in trouble is improperly talking out of school about an investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

Sure. And Il Douche fired Comey for saying mean things about Hillary. Pull the other leg, its got bells. Pull the middle one, I’ll give you a nickel.

Or Kushner. Or Junior.

Or Senior.

Here’s the letter from NY AG Schneiderman to the Legislature in which he lays out exactly what the current statute does and what changes he wants to make. It’s very readable and includes some interesting history.

There are a number of articles discussing whether Cohen will turn on Trump:

“The President has told several people he doesn’t think Cohen would betray him, the officials said, but that has not quieted the questions.”

I’m struck by the tone of all of these articles and people around Trump that start with the initial assumption that Trump is guilty. There is nothing to “betray” if he is innocent.

Well, Trump’s going to be all right now. He’s added Rudy Giuliani to his legal team.

Oh, shit. We have to deal with his dumbass theories and BS on TV now? He’s just used as distraction.

How will Rudy connect it all to 9/11?

Seems like the late stages of a long running sit com where they add a new main character before finally canceling the show that they should have canceled two seasons ago.

The clown car has just exceeded its bursting strength.

You’re saying the administration has jumped the shark?

Does slithering underneath count?

Jumping the shark implies the show was once good and turned bad. This administration is a show that should have been canceled two years ago - when he announced his intention to run.
