I don’t think the Russian pay him, I think they’re blackmailing him.
But how the hell do you determine Trump’s state of mind? There’s nothing coherent in there. It’s like the uncertainty principle. If you know his position, you are less certain of his momentum. On Tuesday. On Thursday, it’s the opposite.
Assuming Rudy’s office isn’t just lying through their teeth -
I think it’s all just a stall. Mueller has plenty of evidence of Trump’s malfeasance, which he can farm out to the states and other districts. Plus, even if Trump agreed to an interview, his well-known pathological lying makes everything he says unreliable.
But Donald is convinced that he can talk his way into making Mueller understand that it’s a Very Rigged Witch Hunt. Coming on top of Woodward’s book, which details that John Dowd didn’t think Donald could handle an interview, Donald’s going to be desperate to take that interview.
So Mueller takes a few more weeks to assembly some easy questions, which the Trump team will take a week to write up the answers. Then Mueller takes another week or two to review the answers before announcing how grateful he is that Donald helped clear things up. Then someone suggests that it would be quicker if Donald just comes in and talks it over …
And the whole time that’s going on, Mueller’s team is prosecuting Manafort and following up on the testimony from all the people who got immunity last week, and meeting with their grand jury.
Firing Mueller now won’t save Donald or his family. It’s too late. There are too many investigations in too many jurisdictions. There are too many cooperating second bananas. There is too much evidence of his very sloppy Russian connections. But every day they can drag this out makes it easier to make their case. Letting him answer a few stupid questions in writing is just stringing him along.
Google translate claims it’s
I think Mueller just wants to avoid the accusation that he never gave Trump a chance to answer any charges and accusations. He might be hoping for a few provable flat out lies, right there in black and white, as well, instead of the incoherent and inconsistent ramblings and spin we’ve come to expect.
I don’t think Mueller needs the testimony.
Yep, Mueller strikes me as the kind of lawyer that will not ask a question in court unless he has proof of the answer.
You rang?
I always thought your username had stapLes in it. Letters are hard
Yet another Roger Stone associate, Jerome Corsi, has been subpoenaed by the Mueller grand jury.
I think it’s inevitable at this point that Stone will face some charges. They’ve been talking to at least a half-dozen people who surround him.
Corsi was a key figure in the Swiftboat bullshit and also the Birther bullshit (among other bullshits.) I didn’t know he was a Roger Stone alum. I hope Mueller is asking him about Russia’s involvement in those particular bullshits.
Well, whatever it turns out to be, it will be misspelled.
The Trump side, according to Giuliani:
Trump will try to block Robert Mueller’s report from reaching the House.
Trump will attempt to block the report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, preventing all or parts of it from ever seeing the light of day, reserving “the right” to object to the public disclosure of information that might be covered by executive privilege.
When Rudy Giuliani says that Donald Trump intends to block Mueller’s report from reaching the House, much less the public, there is little doubt this is Trump’s strategy. Before one congressman gets a peek at the report, it will be in the hands of the White House, and the White House will decide if a single word of what Mueller has uncovered goes on … or goes in the shredder. Giuliani is saying now, in advance of any release, that Trump intends to block at least part of the report. That’s the new baseline.
They’ve been paying him for decades, by using his properties to launder Russian money. And letting him take huge cuts. And giving him big “loans” that don’t get repaid.
This is why his properties went for more than they were worth, even during the bust that ruined so many other “bizniz tycoons”.
I hope Corsi goes down too, for something, for anything, just because.
*Scelus per covfefe impeditum.

I think that they are blackmailing him as to how much they are paying him.
I think it’s like, “Keep your cut on the laundered money. Get rid of those sanctions or all of it’s gone.”
These morons. “Nothing to see, illegal investigation (snerk), we did nothing wrong. Collusion is not a crime. They didn’t have anything on Hillary anyway!”
“I didn’t take the cookie, and besides, it wasn’t very good”. Bunch of fucking morons feeding their moronic base what they want to hear.
Freedom of information act? Sunshine laws? And of course there are a few states that want a piece of his orange hide. As well as over half of the United States citizens.
From the KGB archives that we got some access to after the fall of the USSR, promoting conspiracy theories (moon landing hoax, JFK assassination theories, etc.) was a popular one among their agents.
I’ve hypothesized that they use it as a way to find useful idiots.
Does Trump assume that the copy he gets will be the only copy in existence of the report? Sure, shred it if you like. Mueller will just hit the “print” button again. As well as the “send” button.
