A Thread for the Mueller Investigation Results and Outcomes (Part 1)

Vlad has never been on the Trump team. Vlad has always been the captain of Team Chaos, and Trump has been the biggest tool [sic] in his toolbox of shitstirring. Thus far supporting Trump has been the best way to weaken America but the time is coming when bringing him down will be the better play from his perspective. It’s all about the best timing from Russia’s standpoint.

It’s all part of the plan to get you to bring factories back to America.

This. ^

Trump was the chaos president, and plus Vladimir Putin clearly has something on Trump that enables him to exert some sort of pressure. But there will be a day when the Donald becomes less useful and even potentially problematic.

And now we have evidence some don’t learn even then. Does he really expect anybody but the most Trumpy of Trumpets to believe him? And even if we did, what is the point beyond self-aggrandizement?

And coal mines, too. Don’t forget the coal mines. :dubious:

Maybe Trump would learn if he watched a Russian hooker pee on the electric fence.

Some men just enjoy peeing on the electric fence.

Trump has issued four Tweets in the last three hours excoriating Mueller’s “TOTAL WITCH HUNT LIKE NO OTHER IN AMERICAN HISTORY!” Another round of indictments coming by Friday afternoon?

“Shocking. Positively shocking.”

  • Bond. James Bond.

He and Trump should remain in the kiddy pool, where they aren’t as likely to get in trouble.

I’m fascinated that thump has learned to use the caps lock function on his phone.

There are some executed men and women from 17th-century Massachusetts and Connecticut who might differ with him.

Oh, I agree. It was an attempt at levity (yet another failed one) on my part. The person not aware of this is Trump. That’s why I made my reach-around comment downthread (#7544) about why Trump may be freaking out. The dawning realization.

The other information we have that indicates Putin may be throwing Trump under the bus is jasg’s post #7539 referencing the Russian Federation’s defense to the DNC civil lawsuit, asserting their sovereign nation defense and making it clear they considered their cyber-interference to be a military attack. Putin is well aware that such a characterization puts any Trump team coordination with the Russians in an even less favorable light – as if it could be worse. Moreover, they’re no longer denying that they did in fact interfere. Sort of undercuts the “witch hunt” defense.

IOW, why should Putin dirty his hands with destroying Trump, when we will do it for him? As you point out, he’s got the chaos factor he wants. And Trump didn’t deliver on the one thing Putin wanted most of all: Lifting of the sanctions imposed under the Magnitsky Act.

He’s not wrong. Has any previous president asked on television for Russia to interfere with the election then admit to firing someone explicitly to put an end to the investigation that person’s performing, claiming all the while that he neither conspired with Russia nor tried to quash the investigation, that he hasn’t done anything wrong?

Emphasis mine.

ohh… That could be very bad for Trump. Putting his conspiracy/collaboration/collusion with Russia a step closer to treason.

I guess there’s an accidental hint that Assange has already been charged.

And a hint something will drop before November 26.

For starters. Russia has huge reserves of oil in the Arctic that they are too broke to exploit, and he wants that money. He had a deal with Exxon to do just that, everybody was kissy-kissy, then Magnitsky happened. You know the cartoon, the guy standing there while a big bag of $ sprouts wings and flies away.

The pressure on Iran’s oil probably helps a little. Like picking door number three and winning a year’s supply of Cream of Wheat. Hey, it’s something! Bit awkward, since they’re supposed to be such pals, the radical Muslims and the Orthodox atheist.

Not technically treason as I know you understand… but try convincing the American people of that when they learn it’s how the Russians characterized it. Heh. It should be treason.

I heard the text of the pleading read out on tonight’s news. Was hard to not hear that as Mueller’s meaning with the specific language he used.

Happy Thanksgiving, America!

You could practically hear Putin and Tillerson howl in unison when it all fell apart. I always figured that’s why Tillerson was picked as SoS. It certainly wasn’t due to his vast experience in the art of diplomacy.

You gotta love the chutzpah of the Assange lawyers argument here:
*
“The only thing more irresponsible than charging a person for publishing truthful information would be to put in a public filing information that clearly was not intended for the public and without any notice to Mr. Assange."*
