So far, everyone involved is denying it. Assange, Manafort, Wikileaks - all say it never happened.
That said, it wouldn’t surprise me if it did. A guy like Manafort finds out that Assange has real dirt on Hillary, he could well decide to go talk to him to see what he has. And I don’t really see the scandal. How would that be any different than Chrispher Steele getting dirt on Trump from the Russians?

Carl Bernstein reports that Mueller is looking into a meeting between Manafort and Ecuador’s president. Specifically Mueller is interested in discussion of Assange or WikiLeaks.
Not quite a second source for Manafort meeting Assange, but would be odd outside that context.

Interesting how Mueller drops this revelation on Manafort almost immediately after receiving the official response from Trump himself. I don’t think he’s done with Trump just yet, and he might not be anywhere near done with him.
I’m rather surprised that Trump isn’t calling Mathew Whitaker every 5 minutes demanding he sack Mueller. He probably has for all we know, and has probably been just barely talked out of it.
The turning point was August. Once Manafort got convicted on those 8 counts, that pretty much should have been the writing on the wall for Trump. There’s no conventional way out of this mess. He has to fire Mueller and use all of his presidential power, or he and his criminal enterprise are going to go up in smoke. That is his only way out.
So there you have it: a rigged election.
And an illegitimate president – check that, an illegitimate imbecilic president.
Could we maybe settle for getting the whole shoe store - one shoe at a time, but at a vastly increased cadence?

How is it rigged if you have access to email that someone else stole?
You gotta have some big brass bulls to make a joke like that.
We already know that Roger Stone was talking with Assange about getting dirt on Hillary.
And we know that Stone was openly bragging about his contacts with Guccifer 2.0, who did the hacking.
And we know that Guccifer & the hackers were connected to the GRU.
And we know that Manafort was also connected to the Russians and was an associate of Roger Stone.
The difference between all this and Christopher Steele is that Steele wasn’t the pimp for Trump’s prostitute pee pals.
