Just in case it’s not already absolutely clear - believe me, folks, believe me - I want Trump impeached more than anybody. Nobody wants the orange one impeached more badly than I do, believe me. But…I think we’re getting excited too soon.
As this October WaPo article explains, “collusion” itself is not really a crime. Only crimes are crimes. There have to be specific statues violated. My guess is that a lot of people are gonna go down for (stupidly) providing false testimony to federal investigators - Flynn’s probably the start. Kush might be next considering how littered with omissions his background investigation form is. But beyond that, a real bombshell would have to involve things like wire transfers.
Perhaps the most serious damage that Mueller can cause the president is the cumulative damage that comes with an entire White House staff full of people in legal jeopardy and afraid to talk to one another. I could see that causing paralysis, potentially.
Fox News is calling it “A transition team member”, apparently afraid to claim it’s Trump itself.

Right wing “pastor” Rick Joyner says that ABC reporting on the Flynn news makes them a terrorist organization.
“My idiot son-in-law? Never cared much for that guy. We pretty much only talk at holidays and when the grandkids are over.”
If it’s a statue of a comely female, Trump probably at least groped her, if that counts.
But your point is taken. I just think there’s so much malfeasance in that whole gang from top to bottom that it makes Nixon’s White House with Haldeman and Ehrichman look like saints in comparison. And that has to reflect on the top guy who appointed them all and directed them all. I don’t think the tipping point needs to be finding a prosecutable criminal offense to pin on Trump, because the Senate has wide latitude to define an impeachable offense however they want. I think the tipping point is for this whole investigation to become big enough that it renders the administration totally dysfunctional and obsessed with defending themselves, just as happened with Watergate. At some point people get fed up and Congress critters start to see where their best interests lie.
There’s been a bit of chatter that the stock market tanked on the news of the Flynn plea deal. I don’t buy it. The story broke somewhere around 9:15am, and the Dow kinda bounced around yesterday’s close until about 11:10, when it abruptly dropped by over 200 points.
What happened at 11:10? McConnell said he had 50 votes for the tax bill.
Good thing Fridays are such slow news days, huh?
Jared Kushner, who can’t pass his security clearance exam, and who was interviewed again by the Mueller team last month?
I wonder why Flynn would want to throw Jared under the bus …
Ahem.
“Deck the HALL.”
That is all.
We’re going to need a bigger hall.
Or should that be haul?
As if. Do you think it’s still 1962? The dawn of profitable television “news” divisions still in our future?
Nah. As far as the America-hating fuckstick is concerned, the purpose of pardoning someone is so he can say: “Fuck you judiciary! You do NOT get to punish someone who likes ME!”
Other than possibly Ivanka, who wouldn’t want to throw Jared Kushner under the bus? ![]()
He has absolutely no loyalty to anyone whose usefulness to him has expired.
Punch his face, then shove him under the bus.
