A Thread for the Mueller Investigation Results and Outcomes (Part 1)

I’m assuming that’s how many presidential elections and inaugurations since George Washington in 1789. The math appears to work out.

AOC is fucking with our future again!

I hate it when that happens/happened/will happen.

I know/knew/will know!

It’s an inauguration count, not a president count. Obama, for instance, had two (and he wasn’t even eligible for the job!).

Curious that Ivanka is missing from the list.

I would’ve liked to see Paul Ryan on there, just to find out what made him flip from someone who’s behavior is unfit for a presidency to, meh, he’s okay.

If that doesn’t this probably will:

It’s like Stone wants every drop of prison time he can squeeze out.

Thanks for clarifying what the 58 was all about.

I suspect, with the mix of personal and business names that each is being treated as a single string, so it’s not so much first name first as it is left to right characters.

This would suggest (to me) that the list was generated on an IBM system: unlike ASCII, EBCDIC (IBM’s native internal code) places numbers higher than letters.

In my business, we file by first name, in the way the list being discussed is formatted. Our client list contains a mix of individuals and companies.

We do it by first letter because it’s less confusing. I might have a client entry that reads “Jackson Smith”. Unless I am personally familar with the entity, I don’t know if it’s a person named Jackson Smith or a company owned by Bob Jackson and Bill Smith.

First letter works better for me.

Since we’re spinning our wheels until we know more, I’ll continue the tangent by noting that every mp3 player I ever had used to order by first numeral, so you HAD to label tracks “01, 02” so that 10 would come after 09.

I think early versions of iTunes would do that as well, but as I recall, Apple fixed it before Rio, Samsung and Creative (remember the MuVo?). So proper order worked when I saved up enough to get my first iPod Mini (damn, I loved that thing. Loaded it up with obscure live bands off Limewire and felt like I was living in the future)!

Now, now, let’s show a bit of respect for the office of the President.

Office, yes. Individual, no. Especially Individual-1.

You mean Individual-01.

We’re getting into double digits now? It *might *not stop there.

Sorting can be a real pain with SQL as well. We manage addresses. Unit numbers are all over the place. 5A, 10R, G14, 205.5, AB. Since it’s alpha numeric, it must go in a string field, which doesn’t short worth shit (10 comes before 2) The best I have come up with is to split it into its individual number and alpha components, sort by number and then alpha and present it that way. Still doesn’t always work.

It’s fine - they’re small digits.

And we’re stuck with him here in Sector 001.
