Sorting can be a real pain with SQL as well. We manage addresses. Unit numbers are all over the place. 5A, 10R, G14, 205.5, AB. Since it’s alpha numeric, it must go in a string field, which doesn’t short worth shit (10 comes before 2) The best I have come up with is to split it into its individual number and alpha components, sort by number and then alpha and present it that way. Still doesn’t always work.

I used significant figures. If there are four digits, 1 becomes 0001. I’ve never had to index with numbers and letters.

I saw some reporters on Twitter were doing a search because they thought it was the longest speech by any U.S. president.

Then they went on to note that similar leaders giving similar length speeches often were accompanied by words like “megalomaniac” or “delusions of grandeur”, etc.
