A Thread for the Mueller Investigation Results and Outcomes (Part 1)

Countries…

That’s one hell of a money laundering scheme.

Fine with me. Borowitz is fucking awful. He’s like if comedy had cancer and the tumors all had herpes.

Yeah, I saw it as both playing to his base and testing out his powers. Look at how he was playing in that fire truck. He wants to test out everything he can just because he can.

Which is why there should have been legislation to keep him from using our nukes as a first strike without congressional approval. As the pressure builds and the kids get indicted, he’s going to bomb the fuck out of the first brown country (or NK) that looks at us funny.

And there are no more “adults in the room” to keep him from doing it.

It’s Friday tomorrow.

I think any potential future indictments are going to happen when I least expect it, and I’m not expecting any tomorrow, on the Ides of March.

I keep the faith and hope to uncork a fine bottle of wine tomorrow night. I am personally of the opinion that Robert Mueller (the SC, not the vintner) has a sense of humor such to appreciate the rolling out of his cases on this particular date. Not that he would… plan for it to happen, exactly. But I somehow intuit he won’t mind if it works out that way.

Right. That’s who you want making your lattes…

Agreed. The Ides of March may be warning us and not our current, scheming son of wealth and golden showers.

Let’s not discount the fact that Tan the Conman is just as much of a bigot and power-hungry moron as Arpaio and firmly believes that Joe didn’t do a damn thing wrong.

From your link:

ISTR that I posted something similar about Tan the Conman on this board.

What? Nothing about a rider to that requiring further investigation into a certain birth certificate?

I’d always heard that as “The Sadim touch. You know, everything he touches turns to dlog. And you know what dlog is!”

It’s Friday here. I’ve lived on this side of the IDL since the beginning of 2005 and I still can’t convince myself that it’ll be Saturday here when people back in DC say Friday. And that’s especially the case for the looming (let’s hope, good) news about Mueller indictments.

I prefer to use “The Mierdas touch”.

One ton of mierda
Joaquin ate one ton of mierda
One ton of mierda
Joaquin ate one ton of mierda

Apropos of nothing. It’s just what I think of when I hear ‘mierda’. One day I may finish it.

So… not a fan?

The SC asks a Federal judge to delay Rick Gates’s sentencing until May 14: Mueller, in U.S. court filing, says multiple probes continue

Sometimes I really require things to be spelled out for me, and clicking your link I see that this means that he is still cooperating with Mueller investigations that are ongoing, and not yet complete.

Photos were taken of Graham as he walked down the hall after blocking that vote, and he really does look as though his dog just died. He looks just dead-eyed and miserable.

Someday we’re going to find out the story of who is pulling Graham’s strings, and how that all came about.

It looks like the Manhattan DA’s office might have overreached with their charges against Manafort. This analysis suggests that between 9 and 12 of the 16 counts might run afoul of New York’s strict double-jeopardy law, because they substantially overlap with his conviction for defrauding Citizens Bank.

The author (a Fordham Law professor) suggests it would wise to drop all but the four remaining minor charges preemptively, before it is used as fodder for accusations of an overzealous prosecution.

Of course I’m I heavily biased liberal, but does it look like Graham’s appearance has taken a tumble lately? I seem to recall him usually looking pretty well put together. But in the last few photos of him I’ve seen, he looks like a strung out traveling salesman bellying up to the bar in an Applebee’s.

I agree. Lately he looks rough as guts. Of course, he’s earned it.

In my family, this is referred to as “slippage.”

Good analogy. And it’s not just you noticing. Twitter had a lot to say about that hallway photo, and some of it was a lot less safe-for-work than your suggestion.
