Little did you know this prediction already had come true at the time it was posted. This happened when Trump unsuccessfully pushed to go to war with Venezuela for oil.
I’ll say! And what if, in addition to those damning pieces of evidence, the report contained evidence that the candidate intervened in the creation of the RNC platform, to make it more pro-Putin! And what if it offered proof that the now-President dictated to his son a completely fake cover-story about a meeting with Russians, a meeting that had been prefaced with emails stating that the sensitive information that would be offered at the meeting was
I mean, how could the American people look at all that evidence and conclude that there was ‘no big deal’ and ‘nothing to see here’…right?
Man, that would be something, if all that happened.
And suppose, in addition to all of that he openly and publicly advocated violence against various innocent people and some of his followers took his advice?
Maybe there were no indictments because collusion was determined to not be a crime? Why has not Trump not yet tweeted about how he was vindicated? Why were Trump and the Republicans so worried about what was in the report if there was nothing to be found? Gillenbrand (don’t know what I think of her, haven’t thought about her much) already has a Facebook page up asking for petitions to demand the report be made public. Has the AG even hinted that it would not be?
Part of the problem is that Republican “leadership” keeps moving the goalposts. How many times since Trump became President have we heard them declare where they will draw the line with his behavior, then when he leaps over that line like Bob Beamon in Mexico City, they decide that behavior us OK, but this is where we draw the line… lather rinse repeat.
ok. But he has not said he would not release it. Maybe we should wait until then before we start signing petitions. Then again, why not start builing support for it now? I don’t think it matters, it will come out one way or another.
(shrug) You used the term “hint”; for me the quoted bit from Barr’s letter was a hint.
In any event, I have no particular problem with someone staking out a clear position that the contents of the report be made public, even if we assume Barr eventually will do so.
I’m going to be a contrarian and say that I disagree with declaring beforehand that the whole thing should be released. I want the Democratic leadership to see the whole thing, but if it contains information about intel sources, well, we don’t want to endanger the lives of people who are risking themselves to get information to the American government. If Donald Trump or William Barr say there are things we shouldn’t see, fuck that. But, if Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer say there are things that we shouldn’t see, okay. I trust them on this.
