A Very Memorable MMP

Bobbio y’all really should be doin’ sump’n to get Freya and Loki to get along better than that. Just sayin…

It’s been a long day, but I agree with you, FCM, way too short a weekend.

About 6:30 am we took all the dogs to the dog park. When we got there, only one couple and their dog was there, when we left at 7:30 - about 30 dogs were there. It was a scorcher today, early was the way to go. Ernie enjoyed himself thoroughly! We came home and I had a shower (it had rained the night before and the park was very muddy) and Mr Rebo handed me Ernie to wash in the shower…

Then we breakfasted upon sausages, hash browns and scrambled eggs.

Then I groceried and put away said groceries and straightened out my pantry and cleaned out the fridge and washed breakfast dishes and fridge-clean-out dishes.

I haven’t been very active the last couple of hours, but imbibement has commenced and soon we will have grilled hot wings, beans, cole slaw, and celery sticks-and-carrots-and ranch dip to go with. And french bread, 'cuz Dad likes bread with his BBQ. Oh yeah, Mr Rebo made some awesome “Spanish”-style grilled ham-n-cheese sammiches for lunch. Serrano ham and manchego cheese, 'cept he substituted fontina (I don’t think it’s from Spain) cheese. Yummerific!

See y’all manana.

ETA: Doggios! Squee!

Actually, no. I save it for riding the engines, 'cuz I luuuurrrves to blow the air horn.

Swampy, get yer mind out of the gutter.

<snerk> Bobbio said he blows horns! <snerk>

I did steak fajitas and refried beans for dinner, time for beerverages.

[The Police]boooobbbbiioo, you don’t have to put on the red light![/TP]. Freya pic #3 reminds me of the Fark tag line, “Your dog wants steak”

FCM, glad the tummy is better, hope you don’t end up with BioTigs’s malady.

Haze, you’re a naughty girl, and need a spanking.

Thanks MBG; I thought that might be it, but it doesn’t seem to work on a Mac. I imagine I’ll figure it out eventually.

Too bad the country club do wasn’t better, FCM. I was going to go to a country-clubby garden lecture this afternoon, and, even though I would have known lots of people there, decided I’d do better staying home and gardening.

The doggy pics are adorable, Bobbio. And the crash looks like it was awful. So glad VWife wasn’t more seriously hurt.

Mmmm…ham and cheese sandwiches sound yummmm, Rebo.

My din-din was lasagna and green beans. Had them after spending a few hours in the garden (after a quick run to Garden Ridge, Home Depot and the nearest nursery). Got quite a few things planted, but then it decided to rain. Would have been nice if it had held off a bit longer, but I think the fact that the high school decided to have an outdoor graduation for the first time in recorded history guaranteed that it would rain.

Now I’m cleaning stuff up and watching Bride and Prejudice. It’s much louder and more colorful than other film versions of Pride and Prejudice, but it’s really fun and a good interpretation of the story.

Off to do more cleaning etc.

Everyone’s gone, we had a nice time, it ended up being a typical neighborhood mini-fest, people dropping in, drinks being made. Good thing it’s garbage day night, everything went in the can and in the morning it’s going to be someone else’s problem.

Haze, consider yourself whapped on the head with a sack of cicadas. If doing sketchy things over the opposite sex was a crime, there would be no one to keep the keys.

Bride and Prejudice was a lot of fun, but my loyalty is given to the BBC production because of their absolute devotion to the novel, which I love.

Back from work, time to hang out chatting with Mr. Lissar while he does the dishes, and then bed. QD and Driving Husband came over for lunch, and drove me to work. That was fun. Work was dead dull, but that’s okay. Love you all.

Haze, totally, get rid of him. I can send ninjas.
