I’m back from Mass, we had a Confirmation. Maggie pooped(outside!), and I just had a spinach, bacon, and tomato omelet.
BioTigs, the definition of old age is having the day after, without the night before.

Oh my God. :: holds head in hands ::
Er, that’s in shame, not in pain.
I got very drunk very quickly yesterday - I’d barely had anything to eat, so will you believe me if I tell you that two glasses of wine did me in? THAT GUY and I ended up leaving the party early (well, not early, but as soon as the boat docked we left). It wasn’t until later that I remembered that I had Scottish Darling’s house keys in my purse. :smack: I called people that I was sure she’d still be with and told her to call me when she got back, regardless of the time. She called me at 3am from one of our friend’s house - I think she’d already tried to ring my doorbell, but I was much too sound asleep to hear it. It was POURING outside by this stage, and I was half-asleep and already hungover. When I opened the door for her (our friend and his girlfriend had walked her over to my place, bless them) she was soaking wet in all her finery and I couldn’t tell if she was laughing or crying - she seemed on the edge of hysteria. Or maybe she was just drunk - I was too dazed to tell. I hope she hasn’t caught cold.
As for THAT GUY . . . well. I confronted him rather strongly yesterday - more forcefully that I ever have, I guess. He told me that his relationship with his girlfriend is the only thing that’s normal in his life, which I pointed out was a stupid thing to say because at this point it is most certainly not normal. Unless cheating on your SO is considered normal nowadays. Anyway, he said he’d call me today so we can actually talk in broad daylight while not drunk, which has never happened before, funnily enough. It’s really frustrating because as a friend, I want to hit him upside the head and tell him that he’s fooling himself if he thinks that he can carry on a normal relationship with his girlfriend after everything that’s happened. But I can’t speak as a third-person observer, because I’m obviously not.
Sigh. I am such a twisted person.
BioTigs, I think you might have caught my hangover. Actually, when I awoke to Scottish Darling’s call, I took some Tylenol because I could already feel the headache starting to build, with the result that I’m quite all right now.
If there are no volunteers for the MMP tomorrow, I can scrounge something up.
All in favor of a Haze MMP?
Aye!
all opposed?
::crickets::
MEOW! GULP!
You can just borrow the frozen trout to beat some sense into THAT GUY.
Oh, good. I’m just not up to doing the MMP, even though I’d promised you all pretty pictures and stories of yarn and knitting. Another time; and that way I’ll maybe have some work blocked and photographed. Right now it’s just sitting in the cabinet accumulating.
I am now going to turn the computer off and go crawl back in bed. I definitely have a fever, among other things; at least my appetite is okay. If I start feeling a little less crappy later today, I might get back on. But otherwise, see you tomorrow in the new MMP!
Doesn’t someone, like GT, have in her sig-line who’s got the next two or three MMPs? Which means Haze can have June 18th.
A Haze-y MMP sounds lovely.
Hope all the sickies are feeling better by now.
Can you come and clean up at my house too, FCM? You can do the laundry, if you like, Rebo.
I downloaded the latest version of Firefox this morning. It seems to have a built-in spellcheck that doesn’t recognize MMP (or spellcheck, for that matter).
It seems to have stopped raining for the moment. I was going to go to a garden lecture, but I’ve decided to stay home and get some more garden work done (it’s a pretty tolerable temperature out there).
So off I go…
I’ll report back once I’ve accomplished something.
GT
FCM, thanks for the list, it will be a big help. We do take credit cards in the online store but I don’t know if we will be set up for it at the show; the low prices I am charging for most of my stuff makes it more of a hassle than it is worth.
Haze. Don’t make me borrow the frozen trout and come after you. That guy is bad news. If he does leave the girl he’s been cheating on, are you going to hook up with him and become the next girl he cheats on? You know good and well you would never be able to trust him. You are just setting yourself up for a world of heartbreak so don’t go there. If you go there anyway you know that we love you and we are here for you, but you will probably hear a few “I told you so”'s.
Damn, I am so glad I am married and out of the drama that is dating.
Just got a call from the guy that does a lot of yard work for my SIL - he was supposed to do some work for her, but she isn’t answering the door or the phone. Hubby’s not exactly worried, but SIL is very obese and not exactly in the best of health, so he’s about to make a run over there. His next-to-oldest sister died very suddenly; no illness or other warning, just dropped dead in her middle fifties. So that is always in the back of our minds - she was obese, too. Oddly enough, Mr. SCL has never had a bit of a problem with his weight, he’s on the skinny side and still wears the same jeans he wore in high school. No, not just the same size - the same jeans. He still has some of them.
I’m going to be beading my little hands off again today; mostly making bookmarks and bracelets. I’m going to have to get some more beading wire and elastic; I’m almost out.
I made an interesting discovery last night - well, early this morning. My digestive system does not like curry anymore. Nothing like waking up at 5am to go read on the john for an hour.
Ok, thats my TMI for the week. I have to try to keep up with Swampy.
Yeah, that’s me with the upcoming OPs in her sig…
I just updated it so that Hank is tomorrow; she’s stepping in for the indisposed BioTigs.
GT
GT what you do, is when the word is underlined in red, is right click on it, one of the options that pops up is ‘add to dictionary’.
Ta, and da.
Whew - glazing done and kiln loaded, with a wee bit of breakage - grrrrr. There were only 2 pieces that I couldn’t fit, plus one that I broke - grrrrrrr. When we get back, I’ll program it for a delayed start - it should come on at noon tomorrow and start a 4-hour dry cycle.
We’re both showered and in about 15 minutes, we’ll be leaving for our country club afternoon - la-de-dah!! I just ate some yogurt which is the first thing I’ve had to eat today. Luckily, they’re having country club snackies at this reception thing.
It’s still raining - been nice steady showers all day. Which means in 2 days, our grass should be hip-high. I should probably think about mowing this week.
Well, off we go to rub elbows with other artistes! Ta, dahlings!!!
Actually someone did have a BM in church this mornin’. He’s only six months old though, so I guess he can be forgiven.
Ok, I’m all churched and brunched. I said I was gonna go float around in the pool today but instead I had to super shock the poor thing. I shoulda known I’d need to do that after yesterday’s rain. The water was cloudy when I checked it after church. I should have checked this mornin’ and put the shock in but I didn’t, so, oh well. Anywho, it’s like super chlorinated right now so ain’t no way I’m gettin’ in it. Does turn the water a purty shade of blue though.
FCM use the company manners yo’ mama taught you at the country club. That was her way for preparin’ you for such things.
Feel better BioTigs!
HOW’S THE HEAD NOW HAZE???
Perfectly fine, thankyouverymuch. I’m currently in the library, drinking coffee and trying to finish up schoolwork before my parents arrive on Tuesday. Gah. Visiting parents = stress. Not that I haven’t missed them, but it’s a bad time. Plus my mom wants to do a lot of family stuff, which is unfortunate because I want to see my friends as much as possible before we all scatter to the four winds.
Just got back from a co-worker’s wedding. His (now former) GF is nice enough, still, when he was passing out the invitations a while ago, my reaction was a dead-pan “my condolences.” I’m weird like that. He is too, so he was perfectly OK with my benediction
Didn’t have too much to drink – had to drive home! – so you’re not getting any drunk posts from me.
**Haze **-- as a guy myself, I (too) am telling you that THAT GUY is bad news for you. But I think you know that already.
OTOH – other than leaving your friend without her keys, which is more of a goof than a gaffe IMO, then as long as you don’t let things drag out now, you don’t have to feel ashamed of yourself – you’re still young; t’is the time to fool around with few if any consequences Just make sure it’s a lesson learned, and enjoy the fun parts.
That is honestly my number one and only reason for wanting to get married soon. I hate dating. Hate.
Noone, drunken posts are much encouraged. As for my drama with That Guy, it’s actually been going on for a while now . . . it started beginning of Feb, went on for a few months before we broke it off around mid-April. Everyone here in the MMP has been quite patient with my foolishness, for which I am eternally grateful. I just nearly had an argument with one of my best friends as I was talking to her about this whole fiasco - she basically told me I should stop liking him so much, and I kind of snapped at her that if it were that easy I would have stopped long ago. And then she was all “look, I’m on your side, but you better figure wtf your side is because I have no idea what you want from all this.” And it pissed me off because if I knew what I wanted I wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place. Plus I was in no mood for a lecture, which she invariably tends to do whenever I talk to her about . . . well, anything. Gah.
Back to work. Really.
The long-promised photo post is here.
We start with the wreck of a month ago. Here’s the Famliy Truckster, and a different angle. VWife’s knees , showing why she’ll be joining the bio club soon.
On to happier things. Here’s the NerdMobile, with the flashing red light on the dash.
Remember Maddy, the dog we [del] voted out at tribal council [/del]gave up to rescue? She’s been replaced by Freya. Freya #2… Freya #3 If that not the face of pure doggy eeeeeeevil, then I don’t know what one is.
Freya and Loki obviously hate each other.
Loki and Freya gang up on Lauren the neighbor girl to give her a good sliming. Obviously, it was good for her, too.
And, finally, we come to the jungle. This was the jungle on Wednesday evening, May 30. Shot #1 Shot #2 What a difference a day makes… Shot 1 revisited Shot2, again
Wow Bobbio that’s a big difference with the jungle. Do you roll down your window and make siren noises when you turn the red light on?
Doggies!! Squeeeeeeee!!
Whoa, that wreck looks terrible. I suppose it could have been worse, but wow. I hope VWife is doing okay!
I just got a text message from Scottish Darling and she says she’ll be over for tea soon, which is my cue to grovel and beg for forgiveness for being a forgetful idiot last night all because of a guy. One of my pet peeves is people who put the opposite sex before friends (not SOs before friends, but just the opposite sex in general) and I feel like that’s what I ended up doing last night, albeit inadverdently. :: hits self over head ::
I look at that 3rd pic and half expect to hear Droopy’s voice say “I’m so happy”
I’m back, thoroughly unimpressed. We had a few snackies and listened to the Celtic singer and looked at the couple of displays. We also talked to one woman about the upcoming show - last year they had all of 1500 attendees… here I thought it was some huge show! Oh well, we shall see how it goes.
My tummy was acting all funky for some reason, and after 2 visits to the little girls’ room within a few minutes, I decided I didn’t want to hang around there any longer. Plus I’d expected there to be some sort of program, not a bunch of people standing around noshing. That’s all well and good when you know others but dang! So we split after about half an hour, and went to get dinner. I had a very benign soup and salad, and my tummy seems to have settled. We were home by about 6, and I’ve since fed the critters and tossed a load of shirts into the washer. **FCD ** is doing something noisy in his shop - gluing board together and sanding and stuff. It was a nice weekend, but over too fast. I don’t wanna go back to work! WAAAAAAH!
*<insert deep sad sigh here> *
