They’re tagged “limited edition” (so, a seasonal flavor. I also saw pumpkin, but I’m not fond of that), and Target oh-so-thoughtfully positioned them right next to the trick-or-treat candy.

Had Toxic Hell for dindin. The sprog has developed an unfortunate taste for it and I’d promised that we could go, so we went. Now I’m exhausted and ready for bed. I think I’m going to turn in shortly.

Anyway, made a lemon meringue pie for dessert. It was stum-crumulous. Um, crum-stumpulous. That doesn’t look right. I hate being a neophyte at stuff! It was good.

doggio I always figured when the parental units left me to my own devices they didn’t want to know what might or might not have happened. I think they figured it a win if the house was still standin’ and the cops didn’t show up.

Just had a lovely start to the day- I’m really interested in heritage vegetable growing, especially the old perennial varieties, which shops just don’t sell (understandably I guess).
I asked round on a gardening forum I’m a member of a while back, to see if anyone knew where I could get hold of a specific plant- a perennial kale. I got a few suggestions of places to get it, but they were all :eek: prices. Then one lovely person said she had it, and she’d send me a cutting.
The box just arrived, and what she’s actually sent is not just a cutting of perennial kale, it’s 3 different varieties of perennial kale, some fresh cuttings plus potted up plants (including a really pretty variegated one) plus a veritable goody bag of tubers and bulbs, all of which I’ve been hunting down, or would have, had I known they existed!

Good morning! It’s still dark at 7:45 - I hate that part of autumn/winter.
**Pi **- I lurves me some lemon meringue pie!! My recipe is from a bag of lemons I bought at Publix eons ago. Dammit, now I want to make a lemon meringue pie!!!
Speaking of kosher, my MIL was in Publix the other day and she saw kosher turkeys - she said the cheapest one was $65 and the biggest was $87!!! :eek: What is it about kosher gobblers that makes them so pricy??
We were going to go back to the gym today and get back into our routine, but I don’t feel like it. I have a pile of laundry to get done, among other things. I may suggest to my sweetie that we start in again on Moanday. I’m pretty sure he won’t object.
**Nut **- that was a lovely thing to do!! If you have a homemade specialty, I think that would make a really sweet thank-you!
One really nice thing about today - supper is already ready, except for the heating-up part. One less thing…
