Ol’ y’all know who brought pizza from the really good place. YUM! It had roasted chicken, red peppers, mushrooms, jalapeno peppers, and a ton o’ cheese. We’s stuffed! He went back to his place cause he needs to take care of a couple things at work in the mornin’ and his place is closer so he said he’d be more willin’ to get up early and go do stuff if he went home. I almost went to his place but decided I’d be a ummm… distraction to him gettin’ up early tomorrow.
Oh and I’m sittin’ on the bed watchin’ tv and postin’. I love me some wireless internet!
I had a pair of jeans I bought for 30 bucks in high school - some generic Korean brand - and those suckers lasted me 'til my last year of undergrad (7 years). Then a couple years ago I bought a pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans and they lasted maybe a little over a year before they ripped in a place that makes it impossible to wear them without half my ass hanging out. I’ve been meaning to get them repaired, but seriously, I paid like a hundred bucks for those things. Shouldn’t they last at least as long as the $30 pair?
Someone please stop me from eating all the peanut butter icing before I clog all my arteries.
At the risk of the gay police showin’ up at my door, I’ll confess that I quit buyin’ 501s years ago. I buy Wranglers or Lees now. I like 'em too.
I’m watchin’ Designed To Sell on HGTV. Dang they uglied up that living room! The kitchen looks good though. All the men on the show are wearing blue shirts. Weird. The host is just the gayest lil’ ol’ thang you ever did see! He just flits around all over the place.
I’d much rather have the cold and snow now…when it’s a proper time of year (July?) it’ll be 75F and lovely. But dammit, it’s supposed to be like this in January, and I love it!
We’ll see what I think of it tomorrow morning when I have to be at work at 10 AM…
Good to see we converted you to nanaimo bars, Haze. They’re delicious and, er, nutritious? Tasty, anyway.
I think I’m going to have some nutrient-full carrot cake. And then lie around reading some more.
Get a kitty! Kitties are good! Maine Coons are adorable!
Oh yeah, see? NOW you get the pizza in. CopycatBear!!!
I am a sneaky, devious man. You all may remember, that my adoption of Cuervo was pretty much a done deal before I broke the news to her? Well, I’ve been working on this all day, and she’s been skeptical, to say the least. BusKid is hands down opposed, but her problem is that she falls in love with cats, then they die. I told her my attitude is that WE are here to serve THEM, and so long as we keep 'em happy, we’re all even in Karma-land.
Anyways…I took Seniorita Bus to get some pasta (and Merlot) tonight, and as things stand right now, she has replacement names picked out and is priming Evil fat Scarlett for another pile O’poo in the litter boxes.
First thing in the morning, we have one errand to run, then off to the shelter… Everyone cross appropriate thingees that Boo Scarie is still there, he’s our front runner too.
If all is successful, there’ll be a new kitty thread here in the afternoon tomorrow!!!
Kitties good, Maine Coons better. I’m in favor of black cats, too.
The power was out, but it’s back on now. I discovered the hard way that my old UPS unit is really dead, but everything booted up and nothing seems permanently damaged. I already had a replacement, I just hadn’t gotten around to actually replacing it yet. That’s done now. The wiring is so wonky in this house, everything not on the UPS unit eventually gets completely fried, even with a surge protector. Actually, the old UPS was fine until I took *it *off the surge protector. I’m not an electrician, but I’m pretty sure that means that the wiring needs upgrading, to say the least. Yes, my landlord is a retired general contractor, why do you ask?
Wow, SnowBunny, that is pretty snow, even if it will be -a lot- of it! Is this part of that huge storm that’s moving in off the West Coast? The weather forecasters are saying that it’s going to be 5 FEET in the Sierras!
BusGuy, my appropriate appendages are crossed for your family getting the Maine Coon. Although like SpecialOne aka Lunch I too was just taken with Herbie.
It’s already Saturday, but I am so glad that the weekend is here. laughs Next week is going to seem terribly long, I think; I’ve gotten spoiled the last few weeks, with three and four day weeks at work.
Haze, those bar cookies look sinfully good! Thanks for linking to the recipe … I think! Oh yeah, and the hat? I have to agree with FCM and Swampy - it’s too much like those crocheted toilet paper covers!
Not much on my agenda this weekend; clothes that I ordered online arrived today (YAY!), so next week will at least bring something new to my wardrobe for work. I do plan on making that chocolate mayo cake though, so there is that. With mocha frosting.
Enjoy the weekend, mumpers! And LiLi, hang in there!
Morning all. Busy busy busy here in gumdropland, keeping up with husband, baby (who was first presented to the MMP at 9 weeks in-utero, if I recall correctly! rigs nicknamed her sugarbaby. Mind you I dropped out of sight for a while before I went on leave until HRH and I got back from Australia when she was 2 months old) and work and house, &c, &c …
MBG, fingers crossed for Boo being there! He looks like a good playmate for Cuervo!
LiLi, calm down and relax already - are you insane with your making sheets and blankets and sleepsacks and stuff? All you are achieving is making me feel really really lazy and inadequate!
snowbunny, I guess now you really are a snow bunny. Pretty!!!
Haze, the hat is a bit naff. If you want a cloche, get one in felt. The crocheting (is that a word?) makes it look far too much like a toilet roll cover!
Jeans, huh? I used to buy men’s jeans back in the day when I was skinny. Now I buy Dorothy Perkins low-waisted jeans 'cause they fit my butt and don’t make me look like a mother! I actually wore one pair right through until I was nearly 8 months pregnant (mainly because the maternity jeans were hideous elastic-waisted monstrosities that didn’t sit properly and kept sliding down over my hips - not a sexy look, hitching your jeans up every 5 steps!).
Okay, off to graze in the kitchen and get the day started!
