A year in MMPs – some statistics and stuff

Can I be first?

'Yes, yes, I can.

I wonder if I’ll be called out for drinking tonight. I’ve had a fairly productive day. :: pats self on back :: I wish my UPS package would get here though. It was supposed to be here yesterday. :: grumble ::

No idea what nanaimo bars are–it’s either exercise equipment, sushi or a manga inspired food.
I also lack meticulousness, now–there was a time, when I was young and cute, when nothing but perfection would do. I remember being quite righteous about it all… Then kids came and Life, and frankly, if I get to 8/10 on any one thing–I’m happy. Life is too short and all that. Then again, I want what I want. Hmmm…

Go out for seafood. It’s worth goin’ out in the cold for seafood. I want some seafood. Instead I get pizza. Oh well…

I might make a peach cobbler just cause. Well, the cause is BlueBell vanilla ice cream in the freezer and it goes so good on top of hot peach cobbler.

Oh and January 8th is ol’ y’all know who’s bday. Just sayin’ LiLi.

Be thankful you’ve only lost one of these

It’s Canadian, actually. Something consisting of butter and sugar and chocolate.

I’ve never been a perfectionist. Everything I do, from my hair to organizing my clothes to traveling to cooking, is never quite precise. The one area where I have to have everything just so is academia. I am way too anal about commenting on papers for my own good - I know the students won’t read all the comments, but I have to get them all down anyway.

ETA: Crap! I want sushi now.

I could go for some sushi right now, too. With plenty of wasabi.

Which is kind of weird, considering it’s after midnight here :dubious:

I made it to work today and stayed.

I have absolutely no voice which everyone who works for is thanking whatever God they pray to for

I am quite chipper and hungry today as well which is nice. I also have an [TMI] impressive amount of snot [/TMI] today as well as hacking up a lung occasionally. But other than that I am fine. No really I am.

I have a delicious veggie lasagne in the fridge but I think I may order pizza instead

Here’s a picture of what it’s doing right now. I haven’t seen it snow this hard here yet! The flakes may be small but lemme tell ya, it’s coming down like crazy.

Ooh…Those bars look delish. I also hate white “chocolate”, but still… sorry to have started any and all sushi cravings. Lunch-you callin’ me ugly? --'cause I’m still young. :stuck_out_tongue:
I have 3 nine year old boys in my house, arguing over whose turn it is to attack etc in their Lego war/battle/whatever. I must have had really bad karma or something–why is MY house THE house on the block?

I want peace and quiet, dammit!

Just found out that the case I have to get up at 0500 for tomorrow is keloid scarring of the earlobes–repair of. Well, well, well. THERE’S a reason to get up in the morning! I doubt it’s an axe murderer now–or else he’s a snappy accessorizer.

[sub]is this a good place to confess that I just ordered seasons 1 and 3 of House from Amazon?[/sub].

Bad Chinese it is…

Whoa, that’s some pretty crazy snow. Better you than us. :stuck_out_tongue:

In the kitchen, waiting for the chocolate to melt.

[snobbish in-crowd voice] We’re going to the Sunrise Inn! It’s one of my two favorites here in TVLand. TVMan ordered his usual boring pizza, but I’m going to try something different tonight. Normally I get the breaded ravioli parmesan, but I think I may brave one of their five gazillion sandwiches.[/si-cv]

Oh, and there’s no way that I could possibly pick which kitteh I like best. I just can’t do it!

Yes and all of you sushi people. Gross! Yuck! Blech!!!

I stopped on the way home from work and got mushrooms for tomorrow, and grocery store sushi for lunch (NOL)! What a co-inky-dink! It was just ok, though.

We’re having another down-home type meal tonight - cabbage and sausage and cornbread muffins!

It is weird how we’re all on teh same wavelength with food. 'Cept for some of y’all with your roadkill fetish…

I just printed out the mom’s recipe for nanaimo - I really don’t like white chocolate. Looks fantastic!

Snowbunny - that is absolutely beautiful! I’ll take my high of 75° tomorrow, though…

It’s cocktail hour! And Cash Cab is coming on. I love that show!

Lator, gators.

I also vote for a friend for Cuervo!

We went to a play tonight. Also, we bought a butter dish - which deserves its own story.

Now I’m sleepy.

::Waves hi and dispenses hugs as needed::

GT

I forgot to vote for the Coon cat. I like BooScary best.

Off to make panfried chicken.

If your house is big enough for four cats to manage, in general, without spraying, what are you waiting for? Get a cat for me. We lost one in March, found out yesterday that one has a huge inoperable bowel tumor and we have to put her to sleep tomorrow, and that leaves us with one 12 year old who’s not looking so great. We can’t get more cats just now because my partner is in medical treatment and has suppressed immune functioning, so please, do the right thing and adopt one of those kitties.

Prezzies have been purchased and wrapped. Well, we already had one prezzie here, so I just needed a couple, three more. The cheesecake has been picked up too.

We’re taking our daughter out to a Japanese steak house for dinner tonight. She chose the restaurant, although we told her we’d take her anyplace she wanted.

My daughter just finished unwrapping her presents. She loved them all. We bought her a white gold ring with three tanzanite stones (princess cut). She put that on right away. I also bought her a cute little jacket a sweater with a sort of shawl collar and a lace trimmed cami to underneath the sweater. The sweater has a deep v-neck, so it looks really cute.

I also bought the hubby a new pair of jeans today. He’s “old school” and doesn’t really like anything but Levi 501s. When did they get so freakin’ expensive?! I spent nearly fifty bucks on one PAIR!

Well, I should finish tidying up. After dinner, we’re coming back here for cheesecake and stuff.

ETA: Get a playmate for Cuervo! They’re all beautiful cats, but the last one sounds like the one to go with.

Oh, yeah! I want you to adopt little BooFaeries - I mean Boo Scaries! He’s a cutey-patootie! I wish Mr Rebo wasn’t allergic. That’s why we have doggies. I want more, but I have to be realistic.

Home - it was as bad as ever, and really crowded, too. We usually go a lot earlier, but tonight we were slow. I’ve had lots of shrimps and veggies and some lo mein and assorted miscellany. And hot tea. Afterwards, we walked over to McKay’s and I got some half-n-half - toasted almond for, um, medicinal purposed. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Just took the doggies out - it’s coooooooold!

The rest of the evening promises to be lazy and slug-like. Yay!

They’ve been about $50 for some time now, but are often on sale for $35. I wouldn’t mind the price so much if they could just be made to the same quality that they used to be, oh, say ten or fiften years ago, when they were being made on Valencia Street, about two miles from here.
