If any of you are going to be around my stomping grounds this June 21st, come have some fun!
The 21st is National Aboriginal Solidarity Day. There’s going to be a big event at the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery (Waterloo, ON). There will be arts & crafts for sale, workshops, childrens’ activities, storytelling and more. I’m going to have a craft table there. Everyone is welcome, aboriginal or not.
Not many people are aware of things like this outside the Native community, so I thought I’d spread the word.
Nobody’s gonna be in my town to come visit me? I will be sad…
…I know at least one Doper lives in Waterloo too, but I can’t recall who…
Just out of curiousity, just how permeable are Aborigines the rest of the year?
Hey Amazon,
Sounds like a good time. It would be a long trip to make the event for me. Email me when ya can. I’m interested in the crafts.

Thanks! Yeah, we’re hoping for a good day - I’m pretty sure there’s going to be a drum making workshop, among others. I’m going to have a good variety of stuff to sell providing I can make enough in time - dreamcatchers, mandalas, some jewelry, maybe a few paintings, plus the cheaper doohickeys that the tourists tend to go for, like keychains and feathered hair clips and such.
I’ll bring my camera so I can post some pics from the day afterwards.
