2. He pointed out that he remembered the topic of the thread (Playboy’s pornographic puzzles) and pointed out that, these days, you can just make a puzzle out of any picture using an app.

Yes, the guy has said plenty of Pit-able things. But when you stretch this far to find something to Pit him on, it just starts to seem ridiculous. I’m sure he’ll say something stupidly offensive sooner or later, so why not wait until then?

You got my expectations up for some bullshit and seeing people whip it out of him. Instead I got a lamer version of a snark forum.

I’m going to horrify you w/ the truth here; Friends has been off the air for over 13 years. I remember that storyline in Season 2 so I think it was closer to 20 years ago. Joey’s a problematic character for today’s mores, as you may recall it was played for a joke that he had an affair w/ his teacher when he was in 7th grade.

No, erysichthon got it right. Aceplace did write that he has a friend who currently owns a monkey.

My wife’s BFF has a monkey. She’s taken care of it for over ten years and he’s like a son to her.

I know the thread title doesn’t sound promising, but the assumptions underlying Acey’s claim are exceptionally stupid.

It’s also amusing coming from a guy who doesn’t notice the plot holes in his own posts.

He does, eventually, climb down. Very quietly. And acknowledging only the most innocuous evidence against his previously strongly-held wrong assumptions, while tenaciously ignoring the hurricane of corrections to his complete misunderstanding of EVERYTHING related to his subject.

In other works, classic Ace. He’ll eventually admit he’s mistaken. But only by copping to the most trivial charge, and in the smallest type he can get away with.

While I see your point, my gut tells me that recurring stubborn ignorance, in the face of a site dedicated to fighting ignorance, can rise to egregiousness comparable to active malice. And this kind of consistent repetition smacks of trolling*, TBH. So a pitting is well in order. (Again, IMHO.)
