In the late 90s, there was an action movie released called “John Carpenter’s Vampires.” I saw the commercials showing James Woods as a vampire hunter, wearing a leather jacket, and suddenly I had to go see that movie just because of him. I still don’t quite understand it.
Dan Aykroyd, after seeing him in Ghostbusters II when I was 12 (I had not seen the first one at that point). Although I don’t think he has aged well, I think he looked pretty damn good in the 80s.
Seth Rogen. I do not go for Judd Apatow movies or others of that style, so the first time I saw him was in The Green Hornet.
Then your thread is nonsensical. Queen Latifa is uglier than most of the people in this thread. She even knows it, as she doesn’t even try to market herself as sexy.
If you only want drug users, why not title the thread as such? And why not gripe at all the other people who have suggested people like John Goodman, who is just fat?
She’s got nice eyes and an AMAZING voice. She was pretty whiney on that sitcom w/ David Spade but you have to check her out on Gargoyles. Please tell me someone else remembers that cartoon? She voiced Fox, a badass, vampy character and her voice just smoulders.
Queen Latifah is absolutely not “ugly.” She has absolutely perfect facial symmetry and proportions and is, in fact, remarkably beautiful. She is overweight. That is not the same thing as being ugly. Ugly refers to the facial features. It’s a loaded word, anyway, because it’s a cruel thing to call someone, but sometimes there’s really no other phrase that works.
Absolutely nothing strange about that; Jack Black is exceptionally handsome, he’s just overweight (and often plays scruffy characters.)
This crude, but basically effective, image that I created with Photoshop shows Jack Black’s facial features pasted over the face of a different, in-shape actor. The 'Shop job is sloppy, but it gets the point across. His basic facial features are classically handsome.
This is unlike someone like Jonah Hill, who recently and very publicly lost a great deal of weight but is still basicallly homely looking.
The fact that she’s had a contract with Cover Girl for several years refutes your statement. They don’t usually pick “ugly” people to shill for makeup companies. Honestly, I can’t imagine how anyone could look at Queen Latifah and see ugliness. She’s quite beautiful, IMO. http://i2.listal.com/image/25831/600full-queen-latifah.jpg
I’m not sure what his name is, but I think the guy who plays the dark-haired McPoyle (Ryan?) brother on Always Sunny is kinda hot in an incestuous way, lol.
I think BigT might be confusing Latifah with someone else. She’s overweight, yes, but beautiful. And her weight is also carried proportionally on her body. It’s distributed evenly.
So long as we’re talking about the Daily Show, I’ll mention Samantha Bee. She has the type of jowly school marm face that could curdle milk, but I think she’s freakin’ hot, and she strikes me as the type who would be wild in the sack.
Queen Latifa may be larger, but she is quite clearly attractive.
John Goodman, while hilarious, is not exactly a hunk. When he was younger he was more handsome in the face, but now - uh, yah, not so much.
Jack Black is questionable - he’s not horrible looking, but I find him really obnoxious. I think he makes it into the thread just becasue of his movie resume.
