Actors/resses that makes you NOT want to see a movie

For me, its Mark Whalberg, Kirsten Dunst, Ryan Reynolds, John Wayne, Awkwafina and Katharine Hepburne.

These share one thing, i dont like how the look,

Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler come to mind. And for actresses, Melissa McCarthy and Rebel Wilson.

Mel Gibson. And I used to really like him, going back to “Gallipoli,” “The Year of Living Dangerously,” and all the Mad Max movies. When he revealed the ugliness of his real nature, I wrote him off. No matter what he does, I will never watch him in another movie again.

Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock.

Will Ferrell, 99 percent of his movies are not for me. Elf is an exception, but otherwise it’s a no.

Nepo baby Ben Stiller is another one whose comedy escapes me and his movies make me generally uncomfortable.

Carrey for sure- except Mask. For me it is all the scientology nuts,Woody Harrelson, Roseanne Barr, and a couple others.

What? I love those two!

Stranger than Fiction is also good.

Good one. In general, I couldn’t stand him. (Although on a recent rewatch of Reality Bites I realized he was the only adult in the room.)

Mask exemplifies the exact Jim Carrey traits I have loathed ever since he was on In Living Color.

Maggie Gylenhaal. She was, IMHO, the worst thing about The Dark Knight and ruined the whole character of Rachael Dawes.

Shelley Long.

Frances Bavier.

Angela Lansbury.

I can’t stand the sound of their voices. And, especially for Bavier, I’m still stunned she received any awards at all for her acting or her voice. Maybe the judges for such things need to be drug tested.

Oddly enough, I’ve been trying to remember the name of another actress with a horrid voice (a very squeaky voice). She played the mistress of a US congressman or senator on a sitcom in the 1970s or 1980s. As soon as I find out her name, she’s on the list too.

Gilbert Gottfried, with exceptions for Aladdin and Beverly Hills Cop II.

That brings mind to Fran Drescher for me.

I think they’re just schlock.

ETA and Julia Roberts.

Tom Cruise from the beginning. His ego shows in all of his works

It’s the 1990s, and Billy Crystal, Whoopie Goldberg, Danny Devito, and Bette Midler will be phoning it in for another formula comedy! And aren’t we all just lucky to be alive at the same time!

That’s because all of his work is the same part.

He can be good.

Speaking of nepo baby comedians----Pauly Shore comes to mind.

Julie Sommars?

She was in The Governor and JJ and Matlock.

Jason Alexander.
