Another vote for each of them! Ugh!
And two from a while back, Jack Lemmon who acted as if he thought he was so funny but was so unfunny, and Jack Nicholson who may be talented, but his face just creeps me out.

Ray Liotta, and I can’t put my finger on exactly why.
Tom Cruise. I can’t separate his real-life idiocy from his screen roles.
Susan Sarandon. I can’t separate her real-life politics from her screen roles.
Sadly, J.K. Simmons. I love what he does, and his voice-over work. But dammit, the psycho from Oz is just too ingrained in my psyche to separate him from anything else. J. Jonah Jameson is almost an exception, but I just can’t see him as anything else.
For those of you who hate for no apparent reason, let me introduce you to The Irrational Hate List. This is made up of people (primarily entertainers) that, for no reason, you cannot stand. The list is fluid, and names can come and go. Leonardo DiCaprio was numero uno on my IHL for years, followed by Eddie Redmayne. For some reason, Leo has dropped off my list, and Eddie is number one. The beauty of the IHL is that it is irrational. You do not have to explain or figure out why someone is on your list.
On my list is: Eddie Redmayne, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, the other blond Amy that isn’t funny, Ryan Gosling, Meghan Markle, January Jones, Sarah Paulson, Neil Patrick Harris, Minnie Driver, January Jones, Hugh Grant.
There is also an Irrational Love List but that is a topic for another thread.
Dax Shepard has an extremely punchable face. I’d also punch his name if I could punch his stupid name.
Don’t know why. Maybe that’s because he’s married to Kristen Bell, and I think she could do better.
Steven Seagal and Tommy Lee Jones. Can’t stand the loose cannon/tough guy typecast bit. Can’t stand those types of movies they play in: Escapist schlock requiring a shit-ton of suspension of disbelief, loved and swooned over by mouth breathers.
The hatred of January Jones burns so hot it must be listed twice! (understandable)
I personally don’t mind / actually like all of those people, yet I bet I could take a guess at what it is about each of them that irks you.
I’ll also nominate Val Kilmer. He went from terrific as Doc Holiday and Jim Morrison to a bloated, uninteresting, hack of an actor.
I know the Ab Fab women are supposed to be drunk but the show is not funny at all to me. They just keep using being drunk over and over.
I loathe Some Like it Hot as well - though I think Mr. Curtis is pretty good in it - but you are seriously uninformed about the rest of his oeuvre. He is excellent in Sweet Smell of Success (1957) and The Boston Strangler (1967). He is very good in several other roles, e.g.:* Captain Newman, M.D., The Great Race, The Scarlett O’Hara War*, even Lobster Man from Mars.
There are many actors I can’t stand to watch. I don’t think I can limit myself to just one, but I will strive to get as close as possible.
Ronald Reagan - The only exception being The Killers (1964), the only time he played a bad guy in a movie. He was very convincing.
Nancy Davis/Reagan - She even ruins Donovan’s Brain for me.
Jimmy Stewart, Warren Beatty, Woody Allen, Hugh Grant - All of these actors have stammering deliveries which annoy me. I guess that makes them actors I just can’t stand to listen to.
Interesting that so many mentions here are for people who were formerly SNL cast.
Speaking of which, I used to say with pride that I had never seen an Adam Sandler movie, but I saw one last week and it was really good!
lol
No hate yet for Ethan Hawke? He always has that scraggly mustache and beard and I don’t like his general demeanor. He is also unbearably self-important. He could be summed up by the obnoxious character he played in Reality Bites.
Here’s a new one, a definite up-and-comer who has been anointed the next big thing:
I will always make the Lucille Ball “eww” face if I see he is in a movie I’m interested in seeing. Like Dax Shepard, even his name gives me the willies.
Andie Macdowell - I have never seen her deliver a believable line in anything I have seen her in. She sounds like she is constantly just reciting lines and there is no actual acting taking place.
I have the same complaint for Kevin Costner, but unfortunately I like most movies he is in; I just hate his “acting” since it seems so flat and unbelievable.
And that character is Dirk Diggler. That role was written for him. Everything else he has touched has been bleh.
Meryl Streep sucked in the Deer Hunter and hasn’t gotten any better sense. She seems like she’s high school play all the time.
I pretty much won’t watch anything with Julia Roberts in it. Don’t like her personality. Don’t like her acting. And her horse mouth is uncomfortable to look at.
And Bill Pullman. Yuck. Just… yuck.
I must agree with Ricky Gervais. He is the worst.
Kate McKinnon.
Her impression of Hillary Clinton* is so ridiculously over-the-top and unfunny that it sends my pancreas into spasms. She is the opposite of entertaining; just seeing her face puts me in a foul mood.
*I’m not a Hillary fan, so it ain’t that
Yes! I also think the same with Dave Franco because of Alison Brie.
These are not healthy thoughts, I admit.
