Adam Carolla radio show cancelled

8/21/2001, listen to the last caller.

A quick Google search reveals this is the guy did the voice of Spanky Ham on Drawn Together- I had no idea he was a radio show host!

Can you elaborate? There is no 8/21/2001 episode at that site.

Sorry, it’s 8/21/2002. Tom Arnold is the guest and the caller has a phone sex question.

I found an archive of his previous shows.

I wonder if I can figure out how to add these as podcasts to my ipod touch.

To be more correct:

The radio station hosting the show is changing format.
Thus off the air is:
Adam Carolla
Tim Conway, Jr.
Danny Bonaduce
John and Jeff
Frosty, Heidi and Frank
Tom Leykis

You can get the old shows off of iTunes.

As I mentioned in a previous post, iTunes seems to only allow access to the last 200 episodes of any given podcast. Since each show is broken into 8-10 episodes, it’s only a few weeks worth. Is there some way to go back further?

He has released the first episode of his podcast that he’s doing from his home. Here is the site: http://carollaradio.com/

Apparently he is also making a pilot for a sitcom on CBS, called “Ace in the Hole.”

Not a morning radio show person BUT I am a podcast person and i was listening to The BS Report with Bill Simmons last week and his guest was Adam Carolla and the pair were talking about the cancellation of his radio show and Adam was acting as though it was the greatest thing that has ever happened to him because he gets paid through the end of the year whether he does the show or not!

Also, for those who love him, apparently he’s starting his own podcast that will be an hour a day or something like that.

Apparently his podcast got 250,000-300,000 listeners within the first day. Pretty impressive. I wonder how big it can get.

Someone on the last day of the radio show called in and said iTunes had all 5000 or so of the show’s podcasts available to download, but I haven’t been able to find it. Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: His new show is up on iTunes under “The Adam Carolla Podcast”.

That’s a Loveline classic. It was even posted on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsnaNu7sJiQ

I don’t know how iTunes calculates its podcast ranking - but within a day of its first release on iTunes, Carolla’s podcast took the #1 spot. I think that means hundreds of thousands of listeners. I guess he has a pretty dedicated audience.

I just hope he gets a better recording setup at home.
