Higgs is home, crashed on the couch. **FCD **gave her a small bite of treat, then she drank some water, and almost immediately puked it up. Poor puppeh. We’ve got to keep her from running around for 5-7 days. Yeah, right… Luckily, **FCD **is taking off tomorrow and Firday, so he’ll be able to monitor her.
Leftover bean soup for supper. Rain’s a-comin’ but it’s still mild out, so I have a few windows open. That won’t last much longer. I’ve cleaned the pellet stove in time for the next cold snap.
I feel like Mrs. Plant v.2.0’s aunt, who called us from Connecticut to ask if we were well in Arkansas after a tornado in Texas, but I hope than you Georgians were not affected by the tornado.
Howdy Y’all! Tornadoes survived here. Ok, no tornado got near me but we did have a tornado warnin’ a little bit ago. It got really bad so Evening Prayer over to the church house got cancelled. Seriously, rainin’ so hard I couldn’t see out the kitchen window. Everything is calmin’ down now though.
Hamburger steak, smashed N.O.T. and peas ‘n carrots for dindin tonight. Yeah, I know, how excitatin’ but it was easy and what I was in the mood for. Oh and I made onion gravy. YUM!

I am up in the middle of the night - some times this happens more than I’d care to admit, but usually I just stay in bed and eventually go back to sleep. This morning, however, I got up and got on the computer. Oh boy, I need to get back to sleep!
My daughter paid me a high compliment today. I’ve been on a chex mix kick lately, especially this limited edition version called peppermint bark. I’ve been making my own version although we’ve managed to snag a few bags of it from the stores. At any rate, my daughter told me that she likes my version better than the Chex Mix one! My version is, naturally, different from the official Chex version - I add chocolate and don’t add 10X sugar; my coating is melted white chocolate with a drizzle of melted dark chocolate; peppermint extract provides the peppermint flavor. The Chex web page has many, many recipes for a wide variety of Chex mix. I usually use the store brand version of Chex also, as it is usually much less expensive. LOL
It’s time for me to get back to bed … see you all on Thursday, or rather later today.
Is this what happens when you get old? You wake up at 5:30 in the morning? It’s ok, I guess as I have homework that is due Saturday and I’ll be busy most of today and Friday.
