Addicting Game Of The Century

[QUOTE=dnooman]
On my deathbed, when I say that I’ve wasted my life, I will name Hal Briston as an accomplice to that.

I’m pretty good at getting them to land exactly in the middle, cool music too.

Sounds like a Radiohead sample.

I made 7! I made 7!

My new life’s goal is to make double digits. I don’t care if I end up penniless, living on the streets and playing this game on the library computer, as long as I hit 10 at some point before I die.

Damn you, Hal Briston! shakes tiny fist

I’m also having trouble loading it. I get a pop-up that looks like a game controller. I can scroll through a list of names but I can’t get any of them to play.

Just click on the controller’s screen.

Prepare for addiction.

High score so far: 20

Look to the left of the “game screen” and down. There should be a green encircled button. Push it.

Push it real good!

Oh, this is bad news. I’m just glad I found it now and not tomorrow at work. That would have been a disaster.

There was a game a few years ago that had me going for hours and hours. IIRC it was similar to Whack-a-mole. 9 spots, and you used the keypad. Sometimes the numbers would change and you to hit the correct number, as opposed to the location relative to the numeric keypad which you had been doing for the first few rounds. After that they would add something after every round. Anyone remember that?

Holy moly…
42!!! I got 42!

Now we know what the question was. “What incredible score will RickJay, Stud God of Gimme Friction Baby, pile up tonight?”

28! 3 hours of wasted time, but 28 points (and bragging rights for the next 5 seconds.)

This is what I get for taking the time to check my spelling… D’oh!

I got 13 on the following game.

28 is a hell of a game, maggenpye. That’s well played. What’s your approach?

Not as good as Rickjay’s. 42 is the answer!

[QUOTE=Phlosphr]
Addicting but not as much as Bloxorz in my opinion.

Oh, nice! But I can’t get past stage 11. I have terrible spacial intelligence. Help!

I just upgraded my Flash player last week but it appears I don’t have the current version.

YESSSSS! I did it! Now on to stage 12.

I remember a Japanese game that was like that, I’ll see if I can dig it up. . .
was it Tontie?

To you AND the OP: why “addicting” instead of “addictive”? It’s no shorter or easier to say, and it’s just flat out wrong. I truly don’t understand how and why this usage came to be. Also “very fun”.

“42 is the answer!”

Of course it is!

Holy crap. The best I saw reported on the JayIsGames boards was 41. Bastard. :slight_smile:

Huh…you’re quite correct. I know the difference and try to avoid improper usage – just kinda dropped the ball on that one. Guess I had this site in mind when I made the post.
By the way, does anyone else have the same gameplay quirk that I do? When you have a ball inexorably drifting down toward the Game Over Line, you start clicking on the ball like a madman in some futile effort to get it to slow down? For awhile there, I could’ve sworn it had a slight effect.

That sounds about right. I loved that game.

And now I will hate HalBriston for ever. And so will my co-workers. By the end of today, I managed a high score of 7.
