Eva, I was asking because a lady did something like this to me a couple months ago. I could, of course, just call her at home & find out what happened–but her mother usually answers the phone 
Well, at this point, what do you have to lose by trying? I say go for it, particularly if you know there’s a time when her mom isn’t home.
Well, it seems this story is having a (relatively) happy ending. He’s resumed e-mailing me during the day about all kinds of goofy stuff, and I got home Monday night to an invitation to go out for a burger. We did, and it was a completely relaxed and enjoyable time.
So if nothing else, seems I do have a new friend, and I’m currently playing it by ear. At least I may have someone to go to random wacky ad esoteric musical events with! (Swedish folk/rock, anyone?)
