The plot involved Miss Jones, a sinner, who discovered she was going to hell – she was supposed to be very uptight and got a special tour through hell to find out how fun it was going to be, if she didn’t learn to relax and get off. Then she did everybody in hell, especially the crazy guy (well… she tried) who was not interested. That part was pretty funny. Seems like the hell to me, was that she never got to get off. She’d get right to that breaking point and the Devil would make her start in on someone else and she never really got to finish anything she started. IMHO, this would be Hell. But that’s just me.
The movie was very well done and IIRC even had some decent special effects. I found Miss Jones most irritating because the woman WOULD. NOT. SHUT. UP. But the movie was titillating. I second the recommendation.
I hope so, too. I wish I knew more women who enjoyed the genre as much as I do. If they did, the crap they are selling now would probably get a lot better - fast. men seem to settle for just about anything when it comes to porn (no pun intended). I just happen to be a picky guy…
My husband and I both enjoyed Dreamquest, starring Jenna Jameson (we first heard of it when she appeared on “Turn Ben Stein On”. I think Ben was indeed turned on.)
It’s a fantasy movie (fantasy as in Dungeons and Dragons, that is) where Jenna, playing an uptight young woman who doesn’t want to give in to her date’s desires, gets sucked in to an alternative world filled with fairies, ogres, trolls, living candleabras, and whatnot where “fantasy” has been stolen, and her quest is to journey to the evil guy’s castle and bring it back. Along the way, she meets many strange characters, has many sexual adventures, and she eventually becomes less inhibited.
This movie has high production values (there is at least one porn movie shot on film since 1986), the plot is quite decent, there are even some special effects involved, and there’s, of course, lots of sex ;). There are even some funny parts–my husband and I both enjoyed the character named Kronog.
We rented the DVD, which includes a documentary on how they made the film and a director’s commentary track. That was quite interesting, to me at least.
well these are all live action. So I thought I’d mention there are some damn good anime movies that … go all the way. New Angel had me really cracking up. There are many many good ones out there.
My wife and I liked Dreamquest okay, but we thought it – ahem – petered out at the end.
From the same director and much of the same cast, we liked Conquest a lot better. Big-budget pirate movie.
We don’t care for Andrew Blake, really. We prefer the stuff that’s at least vaguely story-driven.
We have kind of, um, kinky tastes, though. Our favorite director is Michael Ninn – his work rarely disappoints. Stylish, couples-friendly, and hot as hell.
And if you like the kinky stuff, we also enjoyed Black Boots and Extreme Sex 2: The Dungeon.
We generally don’t rent the low-budget gonzo stuff, for what it’s worth.
That’s interesting that you don’t like Andrew Blake because of the lack of story lines, but like Michael Ninn. I rented Ninn’s “Sex” and another “Latex” (I think) and thought they were very similar to Blake’s stuff (very little story line, practically no dialogue, just situations that were allowed to play themselves out). You are right about them being stylish though. And my SO loves them, too, so that’s another bonus.
Yeah, I thought about that. There’s a fine line of how much scenario is required to hold the movie together and, in our view, be satisfactory. Michael Ninn is juuuust on the right side of the line, Andrew Blake is juuuuse on the other side. A movie like, oh, say, Making Whoopee, is waaaayyy too far over the scenario side, and the “gonzo” movies are waayyyy too far over the non-scenario side. But Blake vs. Ninn is an interesting comparison.

It´s the story of an older gentleman who explains to his fellow passengers why he dumped a bucket of water on a young woman at a train station. He explains how he became obsessed with her, and how she basically played him. The interesting thing was the director used two different actresses to portray the two sides of her. It´s an interesting film. I saw it with a friend in French with subtitles.
One of my friends keeps telling me that the “Shane’s World” series is really good and highly realistic, but I haven’t got around to renting/buying any yet.
Saw the Alice in Wonderland XXX at a local movie theater last week, and yes, it was totally hilarious. Adding to the effect was the fact that we had a bad print, so for parts of the show, it was sort of like trying to watch porn on the scrambled channel.
Was Dreamquest the one with the dream recording machine that looked kinda like a CAT scan machine, opening sequence in a classroom, shot on film? If so, I have seen that one. It was better than your average porn, but still pretty bad. One part that was very unerotic was the dream where he was dressed up like a baseball player and she was Marilyn Monroe - parts of it were in slow motion, which is OK - but they slowed down the sound too, so the woman’s moans sounded like Barry White taking a dump.
Did Extreme Sex 2: The Dungeon have people move into a new house and discover a hidden door into a dungeon area? If so, I’ve seen that one too, which is weird…I’ve only seen maybe a dozen pornos in my life.
