Sounds like a smart play. Best of luck!
Now that the OP has her answer, can we discuss the mortality rate of bike messengers? Because I think serial killers have more longevity than this guy’s social circle.
As a general rule in life for dating or pretty much anything, if someone WANTS to do something, they’ll find a way to get it done.
Were the friend’s deaths related to drugs? Does this guy do drugs?
Seconded.
And why does everyone think serial killers have short lifespans? Surely those who come into contact with serial killers are more at risk…?
Some good advice here, and I can understand why you’re torn and confused.
I would decide how long you’ll wait, right now. If you’re into this guy enough to wait out, 2-3 days, 2-3 wks, 2months? Then pick a timeline, and stick to it. So you don’t develop the habit of waiting. This way, you respect that you’re really kinda into him, give him space, and move on at a predetermined time. Covers all your bases.
Good Luck!
That’s funny.
But yeah, I’m seeing his friends later today so perhaps they have some insight, but you guys are probably right, whether it be me or general life circumstances I guess he just isn’t feeling it. I wish he’d have the guts to tell me though, instead of being like, “Uh…I’ll call you next week…”
Nope, no drugs Sandra****.
Being a bike messenger is dangerous mostly because of cars- two of his friends died in hit and runs (not sure about the third). Granted, there are some bikers who ride unsafely so responsibility goes both ways, but sometimes it really does seem like the cars are out to run bikers over.
ETA: Maybe serial killers have shorter life spans because they’re usually young-ish men who frequently receive the death penalty?
Being a bike messenger is dangerous because they make it that way. In my opinion, from what I’ve seen of many, many bike couriers.
