ALERT: Fox Network to Promote Misinformation

On Thursday, February 15 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, the FOX network will air a program entitled “CONSPIRACY THEORY”. The subject will deal with whether they put a man on the Moon or not.

If I know FOX, they will do everything they can to make you believe that the Moon landing was an elaborate Hollywood-style hoax. I urge everyone to watch this program, and give FOX a piece of their mind if they do anything other than squelch the naysayers. There’s enough misinformation and nonsense around without having FOX promote it further. Remember “Alien Autopsy: Fact or Fiction” anyone? Yeesh…

Here’s the quip from the FOX network, describing the subject matter:

MOON LANDING QUESTIONED ON THE ALL-NEW SPECIAL ‘CONSPIRACY THEORY: DID WE LAND ON THE MOON’ FEB. 15 ON FOX

NASA put a man on the moon for the first time in 1969 – or did it? Could the entire moon program have been an elaborate deception staged to fool the public? The conspiracy theories are investigated in the all-new one-hour special CONSPIRACY THEORY:DID WE LAND ON THE MOON Thursday, Feb. 15 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). (SP-0139) (TV-PG)**

Damn straight! They should stick with promoting adultery!

Boy, is my Dad ever going to be pissed when he finds out that all that work he did on the Lunar Lander never actually happened. He could have been playing baseball!

And here I thought people didn’t believe what they saw on television. I mean, they’ve been telling us that people are smart enough not to take anything on TV seriously.

Gee.

And here I thought it wasn’t possible for FOX to sink to a new low.

I suppose I’ll watch it anyway. It’ll probably be funnier than any sitcom on at the same time.

Of course, the real story is whether the moon itself is fake…

It’s one small step for man, one giant leap for hard hitting news. Sure beats reporting on, say, Congress.

This is, of course, the same network that considers “An interview with Jessica Alba of FOX’s Dark Angel” and “Scenes cut for being too hot for FOX’s Temptation Island” as acceptable material for the FOX news. I’m sorry, was that commercial for FOX programming in the middle of the newscast supposed to be an actual part of the news?

Are they going to show scenes from that legendary documentary about the Mars mission, “Capricorn One”? That would add some much-needed credibility.

Hey, this is the Network that brings us The Simpsons and Futurama. Why do you expect them to be serious about anything?

I have visions of Fox being staffed by people who used to appear in Mad Magazine comic strips.

I think UPN is desperately trying to catch up with FOX. They’re showing When chefs attack.

Well, Capricorn One had O.J. in it, and you know that motherfucker is lyin’ about something. Maybe it was the martians that killed his woman.

Therefore, by extension, the greatest endeavor of humankind must be fake. In the words of the estimable Fred Dryer, “works for me.” Roll the credits.

My mother-in-law firmly believes that the entire thing was a hoax. She is positive it was all done in a studio with actors, props, the whole bit. I can’t wait for the call on Friday morning with a “See!? I TOLD you it was fake!”
I have a week to figure out how to cause a 1 hour power outage at their house.

…and in other news, fire has been found to be hot and objects continue to fall downward. Film at 11.

The people who think that the moon landings are fake are the same ones who think that Pro Wrestling is real.

This is a gas - they want us to believe that aliens are real and the moon landings are fake. Wow.

I also remember people back in 1969 (I was 10) who thought the moon landings were fake. They were a tiny fringe if I recall. I guess all the money that was supposedly spent on NASA was really spent lining government offices with Rich Corinthian Leather. I actually feel sorry for people who believe this garbage. I really do.

Try this link.

And of course, the words of the master.

Sorry to double post, but I just couldn’t seem to get the formatting right with both urls in one post.

Enjoy.

They aren’t going to say the landing was fake.

::spooje looks into the future::

After people talk in shadows, an announcer will ask 'Is this
a credible witness, or just a loney loser?"

The last line of the show will be.

“Did the moon landing actually take place, or was it a hoax? You decide!”

Sometimes you can just see ‘em comin’.

Should be ‘lonely loser’. Or maybe ‘loony loser’.

Either way, preview dadgummit!

That’s another thing… all the rockets, the gadgets, the freaking Saturn V… if it was a hoax, they did such a damn fine job on it that they DESERVE to have us believe it.

Whenever I hear something like this, I tend to wonder why I ever decided to become a TV News Producer…
Then I remember. It’s so I can beat the tar out of anybody who proposes this kind of stuff in a meeting
