Kara, Ellen, and Simon are gone. J. Lo and Steven Tyler are in. Randy and Ryan remain.
And lets see what kind of contestants we have! woot
I’m eager to see how the new judges work out. Honestly, I’m a bit concerned without Simon this could fall flat. I did find the schedule for the next few weeks online:

I’m out this year, but I will tape it and see if it is worth it later.
Background TV at most, this year.
I see Idol writers have not forgot the subtle use of hyperbole. Ryan just said:
Jeez, does AI usually take that long?
Hmm… I thought Star Tits would suck more.
How long before Steven sleeps with one of the contestants?
Boy Scout’s mama shouldn’t have let her boy humiliate himself like that.
His whole family was out there. Could none of them tell he couldn’t sing?
Steven Tyler is actually pretty entertaining, from what I’ve seen so far (I’m timeshifting, about 40 minutes behind). I was expecting much, much worse.
I think Steve is gonna cry at some point during this season. Probably after he sleeps with a contestant (or a contestant’s mother, if she’s cute enough).
I, for one, am not buying the whole narrative about how bad J Lo feels for ever having to say “no.” I think she wants to let the audience know how super nice she is. Feels really staged.
Liking Tyler more than I thought I would.
Don’t stick your dick in the crazy, Steven.
Britney Fan sounded great, but she’s not mentally stable enough for Hollywood IMO.
Steven Tyler is doing better than I expected too. He’s toning down the stage persona, and he’s coming off as nice without being saccharine. He’s good at saying no. He’s not a jerk about it. he doesn’t say it in a mean way, but he’s firm and unequivocal about it, and he isn’t patronizing.
I didn’t think she sounded great, but I did think she probably had mental health issues.
I hate this hillbilly girl already. She’s like a sitcom character on the Disney Channel.
Real? I feel like she’s playing a part. Her voice is more big than good.
Jersey Girl was actually quite good. Not sure why a Puerto Rican girl needs a fake tan.
