More Auditions on Wed and Thursday:

My channel guide does not tell me where and I am too lazy to search the internet.

I am sure we are in for more train-wrecks and sob stories.

Crying girl needs to get a grip.

I believe we’ll be stuck with John Wayne for most of the competition.

God, this sucks.

too many stories. Too much family bullshit. Ryan Seacrest has a fan.

uh, chicken girl… he’s gay!

Seriously scary stalker vibe off chicken girl. I hope Seacrest has good security.

John Wayne will get through on the granny vote. He looks like a cowboy Ken doll.

Stalker Girl reminds me of Rose from Two and Half Men.

Oh man, I’m rooting for you, Chicken Chick!

This show truly sucks.

They blow through about 6 voices going to hollywood in a second, and then human interest story number 65.

Seriously, this show has jumped the shark.

Stephen Tyler: “What do you do for a living”

Goth looking Contestant: "clinical trials for the pharmaceutical company’’

ST: “We have something in common, pretty much the whole 70’s for me”

Tyler has had some priceless exchanges. That was his best one.

I admit I have ulterior motives for wanting both the lovebirds to make it…

“I guess I’ll be an armadillo for the rest of my life.”

Her audition song should have been High Hopes.

Seth Green was awesome.

When does Hollywood week start? WIll it still be Tues and Wednesdays then? I need to know, school for me is Tuesdays.

Schedule from the thread two weeks ago.

Loved the scatman at the end.

By the way, am I the only one that noticed Steven’s tell?
In the past as soon as the judges started singing along, you knew it was a no. This year, I’ve noticed that if Steven is bobbing his head (often with his eyes closed) the singer is getting a yes, most likely from everyone.
Of course, he’s typically only doing this for the really good people, the ones who have rhythm built into their voice. Just like the old judges weren’t singing along or laughing unless the contestant was really bad.

That last kid was right in Steven’s wheelhouse with the scatting and bluesiness. That song could be an Aerosmith cover.

I didn’t like blonde crying girl at all. There was something very bleaty about her voice.

I liked John Wayne whatsisname though.

The first two people who got through didn’t sound nearly good enough to me. But the judges raved over them.

Still liking Steven Tyler. He’s the campiest of the bunch, but he still comes across as someone who truly loves music and really wants to do something credible on this show. And he’s a pretty funny guy.

Still liking J-Lo, too. Not only is she great eye candy, but she says smart things and comes across as sincere.

Randy’s on the motorbike, idling his way up to the ramp over the shark tank. He is too consciously trying to be the ‘Simon’ figure on the show. The producers are playing that up as well. He’s the mean one. But Simon was mean to a point, and it was a kind of thoughtful mean which made it somehow tolerable. But just laughing in people’s faces is kind of a dick move. You’re not supposed to sneer at the contestants. He needs to dial that back.

There’s an awful lot of good talent on the show this year. Hollywood week is going to be a bloodbath, with a lot of pretty good singers going home. I’m sure hoping they pick the right top 12 this year. In some other years they’ve sent some people home who were clearly better than some of the contestants that got through.
