Randy Travis looks too much like EX-senator Norm Coleman. I can’t even look at him.
And I guess it says a lot about my dread of their selections that I’m actually glad to hear a Garth Brooks song.

Why does everyone do that song and nobody does “Friends in Low Places”?
Why do they always think we’re supposed to care if they had fun. I don’t give a crap if they have fun. That’s no excuse to suck.
There’s not enough range to Friends. Hell, even I can sing that one.
He’s trying to play up the “y’all don’t it” thing. It’ll probably work on bolstering his “field cred.”
I haven’t seen the sheet music but it doesn’t seem like a low range song to me. He goes pretty high on “got friends” and low on “low places.”
Just a guess, but that song has some pretty low notes in it, and the guys who get on this show don’t have much of a low register. They’re cast for having girly, boy band falsettos. No one can ever sing like a man on this show,

I can’t judge country night because I think every song stinks.

I despise country music, but I really enjoyed Allison. And since she’s 16, she can wear the dress over pants and get away with it.
