American Idol 3/25, 26

I would totally vote for her if she used “The Dan Band” lyrics for this song.

Meh…nobody will ever do this better than the Dan Band.

Carly was great! She’s got the right voice for Bonnie Tyler.

This is the song that I thought Amanda would do back during the first 80s week. I like it on Carly though.

Carly has a great voice but she scares me when she gets that satanic look on her face as she’s about to belt out the big note.

Also, she desperately needs a stylist who will be honest with her about what looks good on her.

Carly doesn’t have the range for “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” Plus she kept changing the words up, which was distracting.

But she’s lovely and talented.

Seriously she needs someone to teach her how to dress.

Paula, please, go away.

ETA: Eek, poor Carly, it looked like she was about to cry.

Sorry Paula, I love Carly, but she blew it. That should have been a great song for her and she fucked it all up sideways. She knows it too, and she’s just trying to get thru the critique and get offstage before the tears start, poor thing.

So I’m not the only one who can’t hear this song without thnking of the Dan Band.

Simon’s right; something didn’t work. And I love that song.

I hated how Carly screwed up all the lyrics to “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” Frightented? Power keg?

Can I once again voice how obnoxious Ryan Seacrest is? He’s gotten way too comfortable and cocky on that stage and should take a back seat to the contestants who possess real talent.

Oh come on Carly! You could have milked this for all it’s worth. She should watch me doing Total Eclipse of the Heart in the shower. Nowhere near enough drama for this song. I mean the video featured Village of the Damned children-- ham it up!

Yeah, I noticed that one. Terrified, not wimpy frightened! Bring it on, like Biggirl in the shower! Err…not that I would know. Really. Crap, hide the binoculars.

Shit, the other guys made me feel old by doing songs from when I was in college, and here comes David to sing something from last week. What the hell is this, anyway?

OK, I was a Senior in HS when David A was born… but I don’t recognize this song.

He’s singing it well though.

I’m dating myself; I’ve never heard this song David is singing. Who did it originally?

Never heard the song. I thought it was kind of odd.

That was pretty crappy.

My husband sucks! He changed to Dancing With the Stars (he’s such a girl) and made me miss David. What did he sing?
