Bah. Bo did this better and Eliot biffed the lyrics. He wasn’t terrible but it was by no means “a hot one.”
Sigh … Elliot got the words wrong. And he doesn’t really sound all that different than Gavin DeGraw, or Bo. He sounds good, though – honest-to-goodness good, which is a nice change from everyone else tonight. BUT. Honestly? He sounded like a poseur. Like, this is totally not the song he wanted to be doing, but he couldn’t find anything else. Not bad, though.
He still did better than other singers…
Lisa, Ace, Kelly, please let them be the bottom three…

Wasn’t bad enough to get him in the bottom three though. I’ll go with Lisa, Kelly, and Ace bringing up the rear this week. I’d like to see Chris down there though, as a warning. No more Creed.

I almost hope it’s Lisa tomorrow. She seems like a great kid and a true professional, but to quote the Brother(s) Brittenum: “Her spirit has been broken.”

Not a good night. Nobody was great. There were three good performances, two OK ones and the rest sucked.

I guess I’d say McPhee was the best of the night. Bucky, Taylor, Eliot and Paris were all just a’ight. Mandisa was sharp and screamy but she should be safe. Kellie and Ace were the worst but probbably won’t go anywhere. Chris should really be penalized harshly for choosing Creed but he’s probably safe as well.
I’m guessing Lisa or Bucky will go. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ace make the bottom three again. I’ve given up hoping for Kellie to land there.
After a craptacular show, I must say that this post just made me laugh out loud.
